for anyone new to the English, you will have to memorize what to do against 1.c4,c6 and 1.c4,e6. i recommend looking into pushing e4 but pushing d4 is a great option too.

White's objective is to form the en potence at once and afterward to establish the grand left oblique, while the minor crochet covers the right wing against the adverse major front echelon. The minor left oblique refused is inferior to all strategic fronts directed either by the right or by the left or by the right refused..

playing this opening makes me extremely uncomfortable because of the backward d pawn. But I also dislike playing against it as black. If you don't like those positions as black, I suggest delaying the move Nf6 in a symmetrical English setup, so that if white decides to play e4, the g8 knight can go to e7 instead in a hedgehog-like counter-system: d6, e6, Ne7, 0-0, b6, Bb7 ⩱. It is like a maroczy vs hedgehog, except it's more hedgehog-favoured because of the pawn on d3 being a liability for white

Can you make a video about the alapin Sicilian on how to play it against other openings because I know how to play it against the french defense and the dragon Sicilian because I have a most likely chance to lose to others sometimes I win when they don't play the french defense or the dragon Sicilian I tried to comment about this to other channels like chess page 1 but they ignore my comments , i had to try contacting them through their comments in their vids before going to the best channel aka here at mortal chess :(
