As a German, I have to say that most of Switzerland and large parts of Austria and northern Italy are just ridiculously gorgeous. The beauty of the Alps can hardly be overhyped. Switzerland is unfortunately really expensive. Still gorgeous.

Having lived in Switzerland for most of my childhood, whilst you didn’t my favourite places, you did great things for your first time there. I’m glad it gave you the bug to return. Switzerland is very seasonal for the weather and the food, so if you visit in a different season you are likely to see lots of different things (e.g. Stardew valley in real life). I’d also recommend Swiss raclette the next time you visit which is a fantastic social meal that can take the whole evening. So glad you enjoyed experiencing the magic of Switzerland.

As a Swiss that grew up outside of Switzerland this video makes me feel a certain way. I recognized a few spots around Interlaken and Zurich which was cool, but I also grieve the childhood I never really had there (I do appreciate where I grew up too of course, just one of those things tho yk). I absolutely loved the simple style of your vlog, made me smile a lot. I want to visit again soon and perhaps once I graduate from uni I'll actually move there. You should check out Grand Lake, CO. It's not quite Switzerland but it has the mountains and the lakes in a chill mountain town setting, and it is right next to Rocky Mountain National Park. I used to work as a photographer in that area.

Alright Fuslie, as a Swiss, here's what's what: Worst time to visit Switzerland is October/November/early Dec. Cold, gloomy, rainy and almost no chance of snow. Late December to Feb for the Christmasy vibe. May June for the sun with the peaks still showing snow (best time of the year imo) and yes summer are great too. If you do winter: go to Zermatt and Grindelwald. If you do summer, Zermatt as well but don't miss out on Montreux/Lavaux and the MOB train connecting Montreux to Interlaken. Don't go tot Geneva.

Two weeks before you went, I took my 2 kiddoos to Switzerland to see the real mountains. We love to stay in the Interlaken area because its central for a lot of beautiful places! For your next stay, dont skip the Schilthorn or the Jungfrau. Bit pricey but with clear weater totally worth it. Try to visit the Trummelbachfalle, thats a spectacular waterfall inside of a mountain.

AH bummer, I can't believe i missed out on paragliding due to weather but cheese fondue in winter is a must, kayaking over lake brienz is one of the most magical experience I have ever done. When to Iseltwald on new year's eve, it was raining haha and I was the only guy in my winter jacket exploring the beautiful tiny village (Didn't see any cows tho haha) then back to the hostel for the fireworks display at midnight was incredible...need to get to Switzerland again. Definitely need to go to Grindelwald next time :)) Thank you Leslie for all the memories again haha hope u had a blast!

Love Switzerland! I'm from Canada so it's was very close to our climate, it was awesome. I stayed in Lucerne at one of the hotels off the bridge you were on at the beginning of the video with my husband! It was amazing! Loved seeing it again!

If you ever go back to switzerland try to go to a mountain I highly recommend mount Rigi (included in the swiss travel pass) and take the panorama trail there!
