If you're going to do a review on a product, at minimum, do a little research on the product and what it's based on. Watched several of your videos, then got to this one, and it just ruined your channel for me. Whether you care about or like or dislike D&D or even whatever type of product t you're going to review, research it if even for only a few google searches. Won't be back, and I'll tell friends to stay away. It's such a shame, too, as I've been trying to find a good reviewer...just didn't find one here.

@@arturoantonio3548 I think it would make more sense since in some cases of minifig series, there were like 2 figs everybody wanted and then the rest nobody cared about. It made prices on third party market go unreasonably high. So then what's the point of having the entire series of mediocre figs when most people just want couple of the better ones anyway? I think it would really help LEGO with sales as well. Honestly loads of these figs were even pretty pointless and ugly looking. Regarding the dragonborn, you can actually make yourself couple of variants since there are already heads in different colors.

One of the reasons Strahd's outfit is "costumy" is that he is a military commander and count. We often don't think about it, but the medieval age was actually very garish. Whenever you see a wooden chair or such in films, they were actually likely painted in vivid colours that we wouldn't probably think is over the top now. Source: Shadiversity

I definitely love getting brightly colored medieval figs & heraldry for that matter but this one just feels more costume-y to me for whatever reason. Either way thanks, i had no idea but that really does make sense given the fox? fur that he has drapped across him and the overall look of the torso

Another reason is that this sort of outfit would actually be somewhat a costume. Lots of vivid colours = lots of money. As such, nobles would pay for ridiculous clothing just to flaunt their wealth.

He fell in love with a woman, but when he returned from his years of campaigns, he found that she was in love and to be married to Strahd's brother. In a doomed attempt to win her heart, Strahd made a pact to make himself more powerful, but also turning him into the first vampire in the multiverse. He gatecrashed the wedding, killed his brother and proclaimed his loe to his love. Horrorfied, she threw herself off of the battlements of Castle Ravenloft. Then the "dark powers", a group of mysterious and evil forces saw this and dragged the whole of Ravenloft into its own realm, where he is trapped, cursed with immense power and tortured by his love being brought back to life in different guises, only for him to loose her again. Strahd has a flair for the show and dramatics, hense the costume like outfit.

Other than them cheaping out on the purple print for the front of the Tiefling tail, no cape for the Mindflayer, and the bland legs for the Dwarf, this series is perfect.

This is exactly why personal preference is so crucial in forming your opinion on these figures. While I can see that the Tiefling and Bard have some very detailed printed pieces, I'm not a fan at all of them. I will still get a baby dragon, but I'm going the skip the figures most likely. On the other hand I'm a very big fan of the Vampire. That headpiece, torso printing and hair is all excellent. I would love to have a vampire somewhere in my collection and this one is perfectly suitable for that. He even comes with one of the better swords and a cute rat. Out of all of these, I think nearly everyone will be extremely key on the Dragonborn paladin. Not only because he has insanely good printed pieces and armor, but even for his headpiece for the fantasy / D&D people. I hope, unlike the last CMF series, that he will be available enough and at a reasonable price. Getting my hands on a normal priced Goatherder was tough and I still don't own a Batlord to this day.

Absolutely it's all a matter of preference in the end. Also it seems like the stores around me atleast have more stock of these then they did for the last couple series but idk how long that'll last. It seems like the only way to "secure" your self some of them is to go early and scan.

I love how the Lady of Pain from Planescape is a figure. Such a deep cut character from such a weird corner of D&D. Hoping theres gonna future series with characters like Sarevok, Jon Irenicus or other Baldurs Gate characters

The nice thing about the Lady of Pain is that her hands match the skin tone of the Dragonborn, which would be super useful for headswapping to other Castle or w/e fantasy Lego minifigs. If we could get matching tail and wings they'd be great for making custom Draconians (especially for those like myself who prefer the old school AD&D lore).

And in the players handbook or Volo’s guide to monsters it has no mention of jarnathan but says things about aarakocra. The person who said it was Jarnathan probably watched the movie and didn’t realize they said: Jarnathan is a aarakocra.

Putting Zaz Tam or whatever he's called in D is such a crime. As a 2009 lego fantasy castle theme fan, it's just insane how u can put such a beautiful figure in D when there are countless uses for it as a commander or king or sorcerer of the skeleton army. God i hope we will get a Series 2 of these. Thats actually my main complaint with them, that there arent enough of them lol. Like there are some of the pretty standard classes still missing like monk and rogue. And especially with all the different races there is still so much untouched potential, like the elemental genasi, cat like tabaxi, goblins just to name a few. And while i definetly see why you would want some big bad/final boss type villains for your adventures to go up against im personally missing a more army buildable enemy here, undead soldier for szass tam to command maybe? But all that said this is still easily the best cmf series we ever got

I actually have a couple round shields from the Ninjago: Hunted of a white dragon that would go great with that Paladin. Straad would be perfect for the Fright Knights factions. Jarnathan's cloak is clasped in the same way as the Red Falcons. If you reuse the torso, you could say that faction is from the same general area.

In Magic the Gathering lore, the Jarnathan dudes (Aarakocra) are called Aven. Sounds a lot better imo, play on "avian" i think. They do exist as a race in D&D, but they are different.

Tasha is my favorite from this series! Her arm printing is so great and the hair/hat combo is so fitting for her. I’m not the biggest fan of the Gith. While the costume and staff looks great, the head looks to plain and skin should’ve been more green with the reptilian nostrils

I personally feel theres literally no bad figures in this series, im not one to just let lego go scott free trust me, but this series was good enough to be the first i fully pre-ordered, even as just a fantasy fan i didn't find any figure really out of place, strahd and tam both work perfectly as just a noble medieval fantasy vampire and a powerful necromancer in my eyes, still loved how in detail you showcased them!

Thank you. Armor & shield on the Paladin is amazing. I have 3 discounted sets (one for my bro) shipping in October, so I figured I'd ignore the buzz. But I just went on eBay and got 2 Paladins for $13 each then found 2 more for $10 each. They will be $20 or more soon. Ordered 2 druid & 2 Warlock. $7 & $8 each. I want more Witch Queen for torso/legs (hat is awesome too, we need more hats w/different colors of hair, esp the Forestmen hat!) but I have to save budget for BDP & Barad Dur next year. I can't afford full armies, but I'm happy to have squadrons!

Here's an idea...you take off the legs of the Dragonborn, put the torso half on the flank of a horse and BINGO! You got yourself a Dragon Centaur (more commonly known in Spelljammer as a Draconian)

You weren't kidding with the dragon! It's 20% weekend at work meaning time to used the minifig scanner. Took half an hour to scanned each boxes (many were bought already) and I didn't find ONE Dragonborn at all! Ironically I went to the nearby toystore and found one within five scanned so I bought him! Sure I got him at the end but didn't used my employee discount at all...

@@Goldfyre Well I reluctantly got him from the nearby toystore and ironically found him within five scan/ Annoyed that I had to paid full price for it instead of 20% at work as I think the minifig are expensive these days (I know, price inflation and etc). I know for a fact the store will not be restocking the minifig as while they are selling but not all of all. I mean we still go the Space stand which most of it are sold now. Scanning those boxes does give me an insight which were one were popular or not. Like Druid, Tyling, Witch and Warlock were plentiful (Druid and Tyling are also ones I'm interested in). Rarest one was the bird archer and the skeleton wizard.

The Ice Spirit is a Common card that is unlocked from the Frozen Peak (Arena 8). It spawns a very fast, area-damage, air-targeting, short-ranged, ground troop with low hitpoints and low damage. It launches itself at its target when attacking, destroying itself on impact. It will stun affected troops for 1.2 seconds. An Ice Spirit card costs 1 Elixir to deploy.😊

Jarnathan is actually a character from Honor Among Thieves and isn't the official name for D&D's bird race. The correct race is called Aarakocra, which has been part of D&D lore since the 1st edition in 1981. Aarakocra are known for their eagle-like heads, wings, and the ability to fly. They even have their own unique culture and language. I know it’s easy to mix things up, but Aarakocra is the go-to bird race in the game. Keep up the awesome work!"

I don't care about D&D, but I like the two you put in D tier, the druid, the skeleton, and the barbarian. Might get a mind flayer and warlock - maybe B tier in my mind. I like the bard, but not the decision to give him pink pieces. That makes him B- to me.

How hard do you think it will be to find he dragon born on brickscan,I found some figs early but didn’t find a single Dragonborn and there were like 20 boxes,so then I just got the lady of pain and mind controller

It completely depends on your location. I got lucky and i found a box that was untouched so i scanned as many dragons as i could. But i imagine i'll have trouble finding more as more and more ppl buy up all the desirable figs.
