You got me at the black Silver Minnow! I swear, just YESTERDAY I was looking on Amazon for black Silver Minnows to replace the last one I lost. The black color is my favorite Silver Minnow, and boy are they tough to find. Amazon doesn't have them, and none of the stores around here seem to carry them. Great store, with some very cool local bait companies. I'm going to watch the video again with pen and paper, write down those local companies and contact Puglia's to see about shipping some up to me. Looks like Charlie Saucier found the perfect job, the man knows his stuff. Great walk-thru the aisles with him.

Yea he knows a lil bit and learning more every day but the old man before he retired was on point you ask him for something he say exactly where it was how much without an with tax if he didn’t have it he said they don’t have it but it’s part # and page as he was pulling the catalog out and going to it and saying I can have it in in this many days at this time of day flat on point and order it right then an there !!

That was great, Puglia's rocks such a great store! Anthony and Charlie have it going on. Seeing all the products l fish with many of those baits plus I saw many baits that were new to me. If I remember correctly, Orlando Wilson once said if he had to choose just one hard bait it would be a chrome & blue Rattletrap. Back in the day there was a very small bait shop near me. The owner, Jim, was very nice, knowledgeable and carried a little of everything. Old school, love it.

A few years ago when the Firecraw Jackhammer was THE bait, Anthony posted on Facebook he had 2 in the store. I drove on down and when I got there he said he sold them. I guess he saw my disappointment lol. He pulled out one from behind the counter and said he was saving one for himself but he would sell it to me if caught a giant on it. 😂

Awesome episode! Love seeing a bit of the new that came from older roots, and just new stuff. That Shimano Flashboost is a great example, old school popper, crank, ECT with a new cool technology. Was just throwing the jerkbait this week and hammering the largemouth when other baits weren't getting hit, so it's a confidence bait in the making. And the 392 "catch them fast" soft plastics come from someone who's a MOPAR fan, that's their current Hemi displacement in cubic inches. With their tag line and 392, that would be my educated guess anyway, lol. Keep it up sir, hope the move is going well👍

I was just at one of the few multi-generational owned black baitshops in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The father used to have a bait truck that he would minoows out of along the riverside so people could keep on fishing. I was walking down the street away from the shop and the owner stopped and gave me a ride back downtown Milwaukee. He had some minnows he was delivering to a customer so doing the same thing his dad did back in the day. It is an old one room shop that is so packed with stuff i had to take my backpack off to get down the aisles. He had some different carp fishing stuff than anyone had in my town so that is why i visited. Its probably been ten years since i was last there and one of his sons works there now too so probably gonna be three generations.

@@RetroBassin Cool! A lot of bass lures were invented in the Great Lakes Area! Like the Johnson Silver Minnow by a welder from Chicago, he made them by using two different metals with heavier metal placed in the middle of the spoon, the older ones don't turn over no matter what speed they're retrieved at! Not so much with the newer ones! From James Heddon in Dawogic Michigan to L&S Lures in Huntley Illinois, it just took a bunch of Southerners to perfect the patterns, since they had fishing 12 months a year! Only the Rapala invented in Finland is one of the Great Lures not built in the USA! Try finding an original 7" two hook version of the F-18! Not the skinny 3 hook version! Good Luck!
