ANTIQUE PICKING in a hotel full of LURE COLLECTORS (NFLCC National)

This week we are antique picking in a hotel packed with lure and tackle collectors at the NFLCC National Meeting.
This year ol' Retro attended the National Fishing Lure Collectors Club (NFLCC) National Meeting in Springfield, Illinois. This even draws antique fishing tackle enthusiasts from around the country, and is a great place to meet fellow collectors, see priceless tackle collections, and get some great deals on vintage fishing lures and tackle.
Night one, Retro followed Bassin' Bud Mark Ing around the hotel for some room trading, where NFLCC members open up their hotel rooms to display and sell bass fishing tackle and memorabilia. This is a great chance to learn about specific lures companies and lure designers, and also get some great deals on vintage lures.
Tune in to see Retro go picking for old school lures from Smithwick, Cotton Cordell, Tom Mann, C.A. Clark, Bassoreno, Lazy Ike, Heddon, Fred Arbogast, and more! He also finds a wild millsite lures called the Daily Double that can catch bass in both directions!
The National Fishing Lure Collectors Club (NFLCC) is a non-profit, educational, international organization founded in 1976. The primary objectives of the NFLCC are to foster an awareness of fishing tackle collecting as a hobby and to assist members in the location, identification, and trading of vintage fishing-related equipment.

I honestly don't know how you were able to hit so many rooms. I would've had to have someone with me to literally pull me out of any of those rooms. I'd also have to bring a giant, empty UMCO tacklebox...and about $1000. I'd have been a drooling idiot, looking at all those great old lures!

20:38 when he opened up that small box I knew it was gonna be some crazy baits those Shakespeare topwater baits are top dollar and so cool. The history behind them is very interesting would love to fish one just to see how it does. This was a great video I would have went broke going in those rooms you know how to control the temptation 😅

The frogskin bait was a Paw Paw " Croaker", in Excellent + condition !!! Tough to find them in that condition.

You picked up some great lures there and wow, are those prices good. Did you just score a Blinker for less than it sold for in the 70’s? Man, I wish the West Coast had shows like this. My only source for a lot of vintage tackle is online, mainly eBay where the prices are high. BTW, is the battery still good in the Blinker? LOL keep it old school!
