Who’s ever used this reference before when looking at their swing?

Excellent tip Giles on "hitting the small ball before the large ball." What I got out of this video is that the left shoulder should never come up until after impact. The "down and around" is in play to make perfect contact! Well Done Giles!

Fantastic video!! My issue is I almost feel like I am going to miss the ball with the divot 3-4" beyond ball. Lots of practice but great lesson!

Great video! But I’m a beginner, and I could use a drill that helps me time or coordinate this move with the release of my right wrist angle. When I do the movement in this video, I inevitably drive the clubhead into the ground, making my low point about three inches under the ball (a chunk) as if I’m digging a ditch.
@Gilesgillgolf4 ай бұрын
This is where you then need to do the left shoulder down and forwards in transition and then up and back to release the club and control how deep it goes into the ground

so... if i just put weight forward on my front foot throughout the swing, i may get the right divot, but lose all my power?!..
@Trainwheel_Time4 ай бұрын
So.... you think all the power in your golf swing comes from the back foot?!
@Gilesgillgolf4 ай бұрын
Yes you won’t be able to generate anywhere near as much power. Plus if you stack all your weight in your left side you’ll actually want to back out of the shot

All good golfers shift off the ball and re-centre. Not my opinion either, it’s what the force plates show us and so we can’t argue with facts 🤷🏼♂️

Wow has like zero wrist hinge at top I was always trying to cock wrist and time it perfect at bottom and I get flippy
@Gilesgillgolf4 ай бұрын
Wrist hinge is a variable so it depends on your swing

3 inch on Links will break your wrists
@Gilesgillgolf4 ай бұрын
No it won’t. The best players can be up to 5 or 6 inches past the ball. This is fact & not an opinion
