What a brave little fella this clownfish is 🤣 Attacking something probably about 200x it's own size. And you even got it biting you on camera!! That is a moment for a best-of montage right there if you ever decided to make one 😂 Those lyretails and the morray eel working as a team were seriously impressive! I'm always amazed by interspecies cooperation like this. It always makes me wonder how this behaviour emerged and for how long it has been a thing... And last but not least congrats on finding that huge frogfish! What a cool fish!! Thank you for taking us with you on this mission ☺
@barnydillarstone2 ай бұрын
Very brave!! I've never had a clownfish so committed to biting me before. I wasn't even anywhere near his eggs by the end of it and he was still chasing me down. I'll do a 'best of' montage at some point and that one will make the cut for sure!! Yeh it's really cool watching the lyretails and morays hunt. I've seen this behaviour a few times, although weirdly only between lyretails and the white eyed moray. I know other eels do it, as do other fish like the trevallys (you can see a small emperor try and get involved as well). Octopus are also known to hunt with groupers and trevally, although I think the fish get a lot more out of that relationship than the octopus. Glad you loved the frogfish - it took us AGES to find it but couldn't have asked for a more perfect ending 🙌 when's your first dive going to be?

Thank you so much for the kind words!! Octopus are great. Unfortunately, they're a bit tricky to find these days (because they get eaten 😢). I did find a cool one in my most recent critter hunt vid though - not sure if you checked it out?

Great vid! So many interesting behaviours n that handsome seahorse. The clownfish was relentless! Hope to see some of these in my September trip to Bali (again) yay!

Great to see you in the comments again! Haha I had about 10 minutes of raw footage of the clownfish attack. Usually they only get angry if you're get within a few feet of them, but this one was actively pursuing me even when I was nowhere near the eggs. Ooo back to Bali again - heading to the same places as last time? We should try and go for a dive and hopefully we can tick some of the things off your hit list.

I’ll be staying at Nusa Lembongan, hopefully I can tick mola mola n manta off the list 😜. Honestly was shocked that the cost per dive is much more than Amed! learned I had to wear a 5mm which I have never tried so feeling apprehensive about my dive profile n chilly water 😭 would u be in that area ?

This is really helpful feedback - thank you. Do you like the quirky/comedic music on some of the other clips, or you'd rather something different? I definitely agree that there are some instances where it's a bit too loud, and perhaps some of the music I use is a little over the top 😂 Really glad you enjoyed it, though :)
