used to have a 1970 Monte Carlo when I was a teen. Midnight blue with a black leather top and Ralley wheels. Had a 350 bored out to 50 over, with dome topped pistons and umbrella seals. 350 turbo tranny. Loved it.

Love seeing the old 70 Monte Carlo my dad had a 73 my senior year in high school. It was green on the outside with a half white Landau and green interior. It has a 350 with four barrel carburetor he had this in 1990

Hey Randy..in the current condition of that Monte Carlo is worth alittle money..a good body man/mechanic..could bring that car back to life..with one exception if the frame is still decent enough..what really caught my eyes was the horseshoe console shifter..and knowing it wasn't a column shifter vehicle..that car fixed up is worth more than the current Monte you already have..just my opinion.

Those 3800 V6s are sturdy engines. My last car, a 1998 Oldsmobile 88 that had for almost 13 years had one and it was still going strong at nearly 240 grand on the clock. I only took it off the road after my mechanic found the front subframe was rusting out after I heard moaning and groaning sounds thanks to the winter salt Massachusetts uses on it's roads.

It IS beautiful! I had a 72 and that left side was hit by a bus and I fixed it with Bondo and a piece of hanging ceiling grid. I loved that car. That was sixty years ago. Patina, my ass. Fix it right.

I actually like the older model cars from the 80s and 90 too. I really like the late 80s Buick Eletrica/LA Sabre, Park Ave, Century, Olds Cutlass, Cutlass Ciera International, the Olds Regency 88 and 98, Pontiac 6000, Chevy Celebrity, even the Cadillac Sedan Deville. Those are the cars I grew up with and the cars I want to eventually own someday.

Hello Randy. The 2014 Mercedes C240 is a good looking car even though it's got hail damage. The 1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo is a good looking car even though it's got damage to the rear end.

had a co-worker who mispronounced a lot of things (he called the VIN# the VENT# and the catalytic converter the Cadilla-tic converter). he somehow combined the Bonneville and a Cadillac DeVille and called it a Bonn-deville.😀

I could tell as soon as you cranked it over, that it is down on compression on at least one cylinder. It's never going to run well unless it has a complete rebuild done on the engine.

By the time you do that, just buy a SSEi. If not for the half-melted dash, that Bonneville would simply need some fuel to run, and it'd probably clean up decently.

I don't know about the seville not being desireable. I'm not a big fan of them but they are probably to most collectable Cadillac model from that era. It was the first downsized Cadillac and is fairly rare. I doubt anyone would repair that one but it should be good for parts and someone will want it.

The possibilities for the Monte are endless. That engine bay is huge and wouldnt be that hard to work on. Now that would be worth watching. Doubt you would "roll" in a rustbucket monte with a trailer light for a brake light after driving a bentley, cmon.
