For the lights on the stator. Jennies garage did a video adding lights to a kx 100. You might be able to get some info from that vid.

Basic light system> route a 12v power wire from stator to voltage regulator> from the voltage regulator a wire to your light switch> wire from light switch to front light. And for your back light> wire from voltage regulator to your back light. Brake light wiring> wire from voltage regulator to brake switch> from brake switch to back light. And of course ground everything. You can easily find wiring chart from internet that explains better. Hope this helps.

Yoo quick tip, if your shitty plastic hot start breaks again you can replace it with a choke plunger. Had to do that on my 06 yz450f. Less cables on the bars too. Videos are fresh👌🏼

Stater should be fine. I belive its a ac bike tho so you'll need a full bridge rectifier. They are like 2 dollars. Then run a led kit. It should be relatively straightforward forward to do. Get multi meter to test voltage. Pm for info

I have a 03 yz450 with Baja design halogen headlight and BD led brake light..the issues have with the headlight is that it stays dim till the motor is revved up then the light will get brighter..I have been looking into it and I guess I need a WR450 stator that is slightly modified to work with the yz450 cdi. These are thing I have read for my modelo yz idk if they apply to yours too 🥴

you don't need much to run headlight and taillight as long as you use LEDs. I use led on my 2011 crf450r for headlight taillight and turn signals an it works great

I have a 2008 yzf made street legal. I actually use the oem stator and I've put on an led headlight and a rear stop. Even without battery it works, but at low rpms the power coming from the stator is not enought so the lights start flashing. Anyway I also mounted a battery and it works well. I have a 07 yz450, you will need to get your stator rewrapped by hand to have a higher amperage output, I was looking at getting mine done at rocky stators, I belive it was about $200 to get done and it would allow you to run a headlight, not sure about the whole street legal kit but if it was all led it shouldn't be a issue

umm the light thing I dont have a yz but I would have something like an alternator the run on the chain and use a fuse box but u need to know how much amperage your using and u need switches and wire it from there that's all the advice I have for u and the batt should go under the tail of the bike and your fuse box
