I Banshee Swapped my Dirtbike in 24 hours!

I put a Yamaha banshee 350 in my 1999 kx250 dirtbike! I tried to challenge my self and complete the swap in under 24 hours challenge.

Epoxy wont hold up against gasoline, you can however plastic weld the tank. If it is the right kind of plastic, that won't be too costly, I did the same with some stepper motor housings using a soldering iron and some zip ties as filler😂

What I like about your videos is your doing something different all the time instead of the same ole same ole like everyone else is doing! Great quick build man. Great work as always. As far as the gas tank goes it's probably polyethylene HDPE which welds beautifully with a plastic welder.

An awesome build Vasily! You really need to try a 2 into 1 pipe like a Dynoport for your bike.....this will give you much better bottom end power with the same Banshee-like topend. The Shearer pipes are more mid-top rpm pipes.

That would work. Snowmobiles have twins and triples with a single pipe. Yamaha even had a 4 cylinder, but I’m not sure how many pipes they ran.

I’ve fitted a XR200 engine in a CRF100, best to use a heat gun or hair dryer to heat up the area and push in with a bit of wood. Works perfectly and no leaks

Dynaport made a 2-1 pipe for the banshee that sounded Sick. Also they made a single carb intake for banshee as well. Worked really well.

Hey man so cool love the channel! one tip I'd recommend get a cheap solder iron I'm sure you have one infact but practice plastic welding that tank could be sealed up nicely just wear protection and test for leaks with water

Very nice build ! If this can help, epoxy don’t glue on polyethylene gas tank. You can only melt on another part with hot air gun or welder.

The next time you have a "space" problem wih a plastic dirt bike gas tank you need a heat gun and a piece of wood. Heat the hell out of the gas tank and use the pieco of wood to press/shape it in a way that makes thing fitt. I have done e few engine swaps in my time, and almost everytime you put a big engine in a samaler frame the gas tank needs some "shaping" room for to the spark plug(s) Other then that you did an amazing job as always. Cant wait to see what this thing can do when you get it all complete.
