I would probably agree with you, but not in this case because of the youtuber who made the video. BasicallyHomeless makes crazy videos all the time and never fakes it. He has a series of videos where he makes a custom PCs like a toilet PC and he plays CS:GO on it. And it was real half of the video is him building it like he a mythbuster. I don't think he would the be the type of guy to sensationalize it

When that video started I could already say one thing: Even if after this whole experiment nothing bad happened to him, who says that it won't happen to him a few months or even years after? I mean seriously.. having "survived" the dark web for one experiment doesn't mean there's no risk still. Just my opinion. That's why I would NEVER do this. Bc no matter how safe your preparation and attempt - you just. DON'T. KNOW. But hey, good reaction and seeing what he stumbled upon was kind of interesting at least. :P

They always talk about "data breaches" of company systems where customers information has been compromised, I am legitimately believing that these companys are selling your information to questionable data brokers for them to use, and telling customers the system has been hacked as a cover for them selling it. what you're saying is kinda true but no they dont sell your data to hackers because that was a huge penalty in court. they sell your data to data brokers which they can legally do if you agree to it in their terms and conditions. those brokers who keep data then sell your data to other companies for ads and surveys and producing products like medicines or whatever is in demand
