A few cool features for the dogs would be have certain breeds able to perform different tasks. So a husky would be able to pull a sled or wagon (which horses should be able to do in Minecraft) bloodhounds could lead you other animals, border collies herd sheep or farm animals to you, maybe even have a breed known for being guard dogs to scare away certain mobs but no attack them. The list is endless and I love it

I love how every pet has a unique feature: Wolves and foxes attack. Cats scare creepers. Parrots warn you of other mobs. Axolotls can go underwater. And SystemZee's dogs can bring items.

I would love to see more dog types like Labrador retriever or golden retriever, buuldogs, rodvailers, huskys and basicaly bigger dog types. Also, there should be a point where after breeding enough wolves you will get a dog. As a sidenote, more types of wolves like brown, gray, black etc. are esential to actualy breed wolves into dogs.

Here’s a concept: stray dogs can either be spawned naturally in villages or can be bred. Say you have two tamed wolves. If you only had one, and bred it with a wild one, you’d get a tamed wolf offspring. If you breed two wild wolves, you get a wild wolf offspring. If you breed two tamed wolves, you get a domesticated dog.

It's be cool if this came in 1.19 with archeology! They could work like the do in this vid, but they dig into dirt like how the player uses a brush. Although, the fetch mechanic is kinda like the allay so if it did get added itd need to be changed.

I wish there was a “guard” options like for your mobs or items like for anything from a grass block to cows or sheep. Like also collars can be leveled up like tools on a enchantment table like higher level is more training the higher level the more things they can do or more space they can guard or more items they can bring or like low level dogs can only guard blocks or chickens while higher level dogs can guard like cows. Also like tricks maybe? Like ctr+D and then certain keys do different tricks. Also if it was up to me, to control dogs you would need to make a collar like a saddle they can be tamed and follow you with bone but to sit guard or do tricks you need a collar. If I chose it it would be 7 wool around and gold ingot bottom middle maybe like a bone in the middle? And for guarding you would probably select the area like you select for world edit maybe with special like dog posts in the corners of the area you want guarded. Or like open there inventory and theres like a dog tag or something you click the corners with. Also definitely saddle bags for dogs and armor.
