They are covers for the old style valves that the city uses to turn the water off and on when necessary. It's unusual to see them embedded in the cement; in our area they are in the lawn grass, and flush with the ground so as to interfere with lawn mowing as little as possible.

Great protection for your poison ivy problem, I think a little addition (because SB mowing has a real problem with it) is wear a summer time balaclava. CJ mowing wears one of those all the time.

I started following you shortly after you started your channel. I believe you had 2 or 3 videos posted. All the other lawn care channels I had been following, slowly got left behind, because you actually did your free jobs, as though you were getting paid for them. You clean up all the clippings and trimmings and make the yard look nice, whereas the others just wanted to cut the grass and get out. Keep doing what you do, and your channel will grow even more. I keep reading about other guys doing this but leaving clippings behind. I've watch five different channels now and not one has left anything behind but one .he had the city come by for free to haul away stuff to big to fit in his truck and the volume of watch got rid of was way to much for one guy to haul away. Since the city asked him to help this person with clean up so he didn't have to pay $1,000's in fines ,the lawn guy called and asked for them to haul away the stuff he couldn't get in his truck. Took him four days to finish the house front and back because it was just that bad . you couldn't see the house for the grass and weeds .tree limbs had to be cut and removed as well. So I don't know who you were watching but so far all those I've seen do it as if they were being payed. This is the only guy that says on video ,this one ,that he's doing it to build up his business. I'm sure there are a few who don't feel like they should have to haul this stuff to the dump for which you have to pay to dump your stuff. I know its that way here where I live.

I'm glad you got rid of those vines because they make me feel like the house is being invaded by man eating plants. great job. Thanks for giving that guy a mower. My dad worked on mowers for years in his spare time and help people who didn't have one. He died in 2009 and I miss him greatly, along with my mom who passed in 2006. They were great parents to me and my siblings.

Brother, PLEASE wear gloves when you work on these abandoned properties. I worked for the city a few years ago and on 2 different occasions, one of our workers got stuck with a used needle while picking up trash and cleaning up these abandoned homes. Especially considering you go the extra mile and pick up the clippings.

Hey TK! I'm a subscriber and watch all your videos. I used to cut grass and I had a suggestion. When I had an overgrown sidewalk situation, I used to cut a strip on both sides first. then I would run my edger. I noticed it wouldn't clog up as bad. Then I would shovel and trim. Less clean up and saved time. I found my edging would be a little cleaner looking. Just a suggestion. Keep doing what you're doing!

Thinking the same thing, especially since it’s in the sidewalk leading to the ADA curb ramp. Just imagine someone in a wheelchair, or a walker, or a cane, or a seeing eye dog tripping and falling! ADA is Federally mandated and there is no excuse for this situation. No Civil engineer or inspector should have allowed this situation!
