I‘m 75 years young; back in the day neighbors took care of neighbors, whether it was cutting the grass for the old couple across the street, or watching the kids for the young mother down the block, we just did what needed to be done for each other. Sadly, things just don’t seem to work like that anymore. 😢

Dont worry. People are still, taking care of each other. My neighbors check on me all the time. And my brother who lives in another state has neighbors that bring him food on occasion.

Hi, young person! I think we have had too much of a "Nanny Generation" where kids are "protected" even from using something as "dangerous" as a lawn mower! I recall that as soon as i was tall enough to operate the old manual (not motorized) rotary-blade lawn mower on the farm, it was MY job to mow the front lawn and the side along the garden, about every two weeks in the summertime! That stood me in good stead when I owned my own home in a city, where I was delighted to find a new rotary mower designed just like the one I grew up with. I recall some kids on bicycles stopping to watch this antique-like lawn care, and one of them said, "you know those come with motors now, don't you!" I looked at their bikes and replied, "You know, I think THOSE come with motors too!"

I smiled at the comment that the back garden is super tiny. 😅 He should come to the UK 🇬🇧. That back garden in a lot of places would be equal to two families back garden. As for the front garden, a property developer would knock the house down and build four or five houses on the land. More if they can get away with. I note that the gardens and houses are larger than ones in the UK. What this guy is doing, is admirable. I wish there were more like him. He is what I would call a good neighbour.

When you are on a busy road like that, you should have some type of reflective protection. You may want to see about purchasing a vest of some kind to put on when you’re on a busy road. You wouldn’t have to wear it except when you’re out in the road. It would be a safety feature for you and for the cars so they can see you. Will continue to watch your videos and hopefully next time I see you on a busy road you will have a reflective vest. As a mom and a Nana I’m just telling you what’s what. Thank you for doing most of the weed eating kinda all together. It some what puts my OCD at rest. I get itchy when people edge, weed eat and then blow - doing it multiple times. I was taught to pick up a tool one time, use it and get it all complete before moving to the next tool. Such as edging the whole yard front and back then weed eating the whole yard ( front and back yards) then mowing the yard. Followed by blowing the yard. That way you only have to blow once.😊
