Cristiano Ronaldo started the trend earlier this year, and it seems like plenty of players will follow him - and the money - this Summer. I've tweaked the budget and reputation of the Saudi league and simulated 5 years... Let the chaos begin!

FM I think needs to update its transfer and wage values with the times. Transfer value is relatively fair, but plays usually end up with around 350k pw max. Also the annual wage budgets are only about 5m pw max and let's be real, the budgets are becoming much higher than that now aha

They have picked a great summer to do this with so many experienced players going free. Ronaldo already there. Benzema and Kante heading there. Bosman will change in FM24 with Saudi League getting most of them.

Theres a load more settings via the national team in the editor to dictate transfers wages tax age of players they sign from europe etc

Actually 1.7 million per week is 88 mill per year and I believe he is getting like 200 mill per year so the "outrageous" amount of money is actually pretty low compared to irl

I read that he makes around 63 million euros in wages and 112 million euros in commercial deals and image rights. Whether that's right or wrong idk, but either way he's not making 200 mil in wages. Most of his money is for off the field stuff so I don't think SI is going to put it in the game.

try this in MLS😁, I know that in MLS it is difficult to do such a thing because of their rules, but maybe with the contracts as a designated player they can do something , or maybe try in Canada, they have a fairly recent league

that's right, because the teams in the league are all owned by the Saudi government. This is particularly funny when Fab Romano reports that teams are "competing" for players. Like, no they aren't, they all have the same owner!

You should have checked if any clubs won the afc champions league, that's the only way the league would get a reputation boost

I know you speaking about the game but... Alhilal won it 4 times(highest in asia), al ittihad 2 times (back2back early 2000s), and alnasser (ronaldo and ziyach team) 0 times. Alhli 1 time runner up, al shabab same.

saudi, qatar and UAE are different because of oil money, when oil money ends, which will be never, saudi will fall like china did. the problem with china was the governement blocking more transfers and takeovers because it was inflating their currency, thats why they went bankrupt on football

The thing is, in real life, the saudi league will take a long time to be a serious league in the global context because ultimately a league's strength is really determined by it's domestic players, and the saudi players are dreck.
