Everyone says that Lip didn't treat well fiona, it is true, but i think that Lip's behaviour is the only reason why at the end of season 9 Fiona could retake control of her life because she realised that she couldn't continue in that way, expecially when Lip told Veronica to not host Fiona because she had to understand her mistakes. So I think that Lip helped a lot Fiona even if he didn't treat her well.

I agree, to me Lip is someone who will speak his mind, so when Fiona was losing control it was kinda tough love to wake her up. I do think he cares about her.

That's not the first time he didn't treat her well, here's the list of why he was a piece of 💩 to Fi: 1- 9×11 the DCFS for Xan 2- 7×3 being arrogant when Fi was making her life better but he thought because he was smart he could trash her. 3- 9×11 jason relapsing, she didn't know he was recovering. He said :"no u didn't care enough to know." why should she care about that? 4- 2×8 the GED- according to her she was working 8 jobs, making meal, keeping the house clean, and on the other hand the only thing he could do was school and for the second time he thought because he was smart he was studying so he could make their life better with a high paying job. 5- 3×2 when she put the money for the club,but he said:"steal it or scam it when u are poor" , she was trying to do her best for the kids and herself by not stealing or scamming. 6- 7×8 buying laundromat 7- 9×11 _9×12 kicking her out instead of talking to her and motivating her, and when Debbie asked him why he is doing this, he said because of Xan and Jason, so a family member who was like a mother and did a shit ton of things for him was not important next to 2 people that he knew for what, 2 months? A year? And Debbie responded "Okay" like she doesn't give a shit about that. And convincing V to not let her crash at her place because she needs to get back on her feet, like dude if u care so much about her you could help her, not trash her or yell at her for some dude who drank because he wanted to and a girl who wanted her mom(a mom who left her so many times) more than him.

Deep down I think he appreciate all that Fiona did which is why he tried to make it so casual when he said it. Frank is just stunted from his childhood not being good so it was hard for him to handle his emotions and in turn he always went to substance to cope.

I think in the long run that made sense for her character.....it gave her the motivation to leave I think.. she got better... but staying would have made her go backwards again... I Haven't really cared about the new seasons now that she's gone... I just hope in the last episode ever it shows her doing something she discovered she loves and happy.

I think Fiona's character was completely realistic. And people who have walked in similar shoes were able to still have empathy and compassion for her. She fought to be the strong one for so long. So many times she was in tears and shook it off and sucked it up just to keep moving. She had no one. But even the strongest break. I was so happy when she decided to leave because I think she knew if she stayed she'd turn into the person she promised herself she would never become.

She raised her siblings, gave up and scarified so much for them and sure, she made mistakes, but she is their SISTER not their mother. She stepped up when she didn’t have to, she did it all, but her siblings are so ungrateful and act like it was her responsibility. She deserves so much better.

YESSS. people loved Fiona when she was selfless Fiona always sacrificing herself and having everything together in s1-3. as soon as she showed she could fuck up too, people had no empathy, yet many still manage to dredge some sympathy up for Frank. I found it really hard to watch season 4 and how cruel everyone was to her, and I really hoped that her siblings would learn from that experience when she hit rock bottom, but they never did.

It's hard when you are made to grow up before your time and made to care primarily for others. It becomes so ingrained in yourself to take care of others at the detriment of yourself. That's why she left though. She was trapped in this toxic cycle of pushing herself through and trying to take care of her family while going through periods of self destruction. Her leaving was her breaking the cycle and getting a fresh start. There's no guarantee that things will be perfect but she will be able to focus on herself as an independent adult instead of being a constant caretaker to those around her

Yup. She had the worst luck when she lived there with the family. Every time something good happened to her or a great opportunity came up, it would be going fine for her and then dramatically flip and turn bad. Yes, she did ruin some good things for herself but she made mistakes and I think she grew stronger from them and learned a lot before she left
@carrieannesoucier6101
@carrieannesoucier6101 3 жыл бұрын
@jack. She grew, and succeeded, while raising her siblings. She excelled. Sure she had her battle with addiction but she did deserve to live her life and in the end get sober. Everyone is wounded, it's what you make of it that counts. Fiona made that show. She's just a strong, independent, street smart woman in a sexist, male shovanistic world. Double standards. Because why are there so many ppl (men and women who love Frank) but think Fiona's trash? That's male shovanism and jealousy.

I think Lip got so angry at her because addiction ruined his life and his parents' lives. The cocaine incident triggered his learned response to be tough and push destructive people away, it boiled down to "drugs hurt sibling" in his mind with no concern for the context. she had balls definitely. she wasn't the most responsible but she learned. but mostly she was broken but those kids meant the world to her, they were her glue, and for her to leave them must have hurt but it was for the best. when she left it hurt for me because i couldn't fathom the thought of leaving everything i've ever known on my own terms and i've done it because i was forced to and i felt like hyperventilating for her, so many memories good or bad, the laughs the tears, it gave her something to remember, those experiences gave her lessons and taught her well, she gained character. she came from bad parenting, ungrateful kids who wouldn't understand, and a broke down neighborhood yet she raised those kids when she didn't have to. props to her. a mother, a father, a sister, a friend, a bad influence, a good influence, a broken mistreated woman but she did it all, she gave it all.

Seems that her breakdown was right on time. She took everything for years all the disappointments and failures. Every time she wanted to cry and give up she never did. She knew she had to be strong and pull through. No one saw her cry. She supported each and everyone. She allowed them to grow into themselves and she knew when to guide them back into the correct path (I guess you can word it). In the last season she was with Frank a lot and part of me was like that's nice but the other part was scary because she was becoming Frank to an extent and he saw it when they're at the bar. He looked at her sadly. But she choose to walk away from that life and build her new life. She saw she wasn't needed anymore. The only sad thing is we didn't get to see her say goodbye to her baby Liam.

This video is everything... those little brats were nicer to f Monica, I mean the f is wrong with them. wtv, I almost cry with this video. Fiona's my favorite character and I felt so bad for her like the entire show tbh. She didn't get to have a childhood (a life actually) because she was raising her sibilings. She was their mom. But they only did wtv the f wanted and hated her for no reason (I remember wanting to punch Debbie because of the whole pregnancy shirt). When they (specially Lip) tried to make her feel guilty and bad because she wanted to have a life I really wanted to yelled at them 'cut the bullshirt and just thank your *mom (they never recognize that)* for everything and let her be'. What she did for them was priceless, I love her. She's the best sister/mom. For didn't have parents that took care of her, but she was capable of taking care of 5 kids so I give a f about her mistakes (she's human, the heck people want from her?). I love her character.

Their relationship to Monica was so complicated. She was an incredibly selfish person but she was still their mom, and her good days were so good it gave them hope. I think it was incredibly hard for Carl and Debbie because they were so young during all her visits. They should have been more appreciative towards Fiona though, Carl and Ian are the only ones who were consistently kind to her (not counting Liam because he was so young)

@@breeannapalato2407 I actually thought the writers did the character wrong when the baby got into the coke and she went to prison for it. It wasn’t that Fiona wouldn’t do drugs, but she wouldn’t leave the crap laying around for the kids to get into. The kids are her entire existence, even in a really bad state of mind, Fiona wouldn’t mess up like that. If they wanted her to go to prison or something; they should have went another route.

i’ll NEVER forgive the gallagher’s for treating her the way they did. fiona deserved a FUCKING BREAK. lip got to go around and drink and waste money and time, ian had his moment, debbie also had her moment, and frank has been having his moment his entire fucking life. so why is it such a big deal when she starts acting like a normal 20 year old, they grew up and didn’t need her as much anymore, but fiona is still their sibling, she’s the one who raised them. fiona gallagher carried the entire show, without fiona it’s not shameless.

she deserved so much better. i fucking hate lip for how he would treat her like her feelings didn’t matter or what she sacrificed didn’t matter. they all took her for granted at some point, it’s fucking sad that even lip couldn’t seem to admit at times what she gave up. he would always overreact to the times she fucked up, but when he did he couldn’t even take fucking accountability for what he did, it was always some other fuckers fault.

Rewatching this show right now, and I just passed the part of Liam going to the hospital from the overdose when Fiona was celebrating/partying. Lip was so cruel to her, even after all of the mistakes he made or would make he took it all out on her. Like hadn't Frank and Monica done worse? Why did he have to despise her like that? It actually makes me so mad. Don't even get me started on the Debbie baby thing.

By no means was she even close to perfect but she gave her 1000% when it came to protecting her siblings. Each one of them would either be dead or in prison for life without her. She gave up everything to try and give them the childhood she was denied and because of that they were able to grow into better people and ended up having good lives.

She did so much. To me her siblings didn’t appreciate her. Even frank said “I couldn’t done it without her”. Frank of all people that saying something. I understand she was going downhill. What you expect she had to be a mom at 15. She gave up lovers,for her siblings. Not one expect for Ian cried when she left. Literally she left Debbie so much money. She was their for everyone. I understand she needed to hit rock bottom. She could have helped she helped everyone. She helped Debbie with her pregnancy. She helped Carl get back to himself. She helped Ian being who he is. She helped Lip to go to college and let him know that it dosent matter where you can come from, you can still be successful. She made mistakes. They all made mistakes. It was just that Fiona was helping everybody to get back on their feet. When one time when she needed help they kicked her to the curb. I’m happy she left. Maybe she can meet up with Steve or other lovers. She had to give up for her siblings. She just wanted to be their sisters who make mistakes for once. She did a hell good job,and she had Monica as a mom and Frank as a day. So Fiona should dersve the most.
