Massive respect to Ben Davison.A formidable trainer.

Agreed. This man deserves to be remembered for resurrecting Tyson's career, dragging him from the depths of Hell. Utter admiration for the way he's handled Tyson, and especially having the courage to relinquish his role as trainer. Massive respect, Ben.

Four Teen no it won’t, He can break down boxing really well in terms of strategy, angles, distance management etc.. fury is with Sugarhill because he used to box. He knows how to actually correct Form to increase power and things like that

@Four Teen that's how people will see it,but it doesn't mean its correct, Sugar Hill might be a better trainer than Ben and Tyson could lose in the first round.

Freddie roach caught him out giving the exact same fighting advice to tyson as he did to another boxer that was a much smaller and different boxer. Reading between the lines ben didnt have the experience for this fight and i dont believe tysons comeback was due to ben, having said that i think tysons father was rude about him in a recent interview. He seems a lovely bloke.

@@HOODSTOCK118 Comon man that was like 10.3 seconds not a big deal, he was up on his feet at 9 and lifted his head up at 10. And the count doesnt start until the opponent is in the corner anyway so stfu.
@malamute4793
@malamute4793 4 жыл бұрын
@@friedchicken6570 usually, the fighter is up at 7, between 7 and 9 the ref is checkin his hands to see if he should be able to continue. That was a very loooong count, then the ref gave Tyson even more time by allowing him to walk back and forth. In total, it was probably around 30 seconds time to recover
@friedchicken6570
@friedchicken6570 4 жыл бұрын
@@malamute4793 Jack Reiss always tells the fighter to walk back and forth so this isnt something new. I agree with it being a longer count but still Fury was fully able to fight and won the rest of the round, so it would be silly if he called it there especially since Fury's eyes was wide open.

Pretty simple breakup. My theory is as follows. As the legend big john fury stated ben was a pt a year before tyson came into his life. Tyson takes ben in and introduces him into the world of big time heavyweight boxing. The money and accolades pile up. Suddenly espn, bt sports, etc etc want his opinion every other fight. At first he only jokingly asks for more money than he gets serious having a bigger ego and rightfully so for the most part. Tyson refuses. Ben leaves. Kudos to them for being mature enough to keep it clean and civil and still be friends.

Im surprised Tyson is changing things for this fight. I know his last few have been a bit under what he wanted but I thought Ben was spot on with his tactics and with what he was telling Tyson during the Wilder fight. He kept things super simple and clear. My worry is that Tyson is going to try to make things too complicated with a different trainer. Ben had it spot, Tyson wins this with his left hand, dont force the right hand. Be patient and thats it. No point risking anything else, if there is one heavyweight who can slip Wilder for 12 rounds its Tyson. Esepcially now that he is a much fitter place than the first fight. And even the 1st fight Tyson admitted he went against what Ben told him as he wanted a spectacular finish.

I think Ben was the secret sauce for Tyson. Hopefully he gets the W this time around but it pains me to see Ben not there with him.

But his knee was up, and his eyes popped open and looked at the ref when he walked over. Recommend looking up the ref talking about the fight, good content, quality ref.
