Many people have told you to invest in a leak tester. That is most likely the issue with this bike. Why do you keep refusing to invest in leak testing, its the 1st thing you should always do when you pick up a new bike. 2 strokes will never run right if they have a leak. Leak test, leak test, leak test. It is extremely important to the health of a 2 stroke and easy to do.

@@gunclemac2729 apparently you've never adjusted a stator plate before. You can advance and retard timing by turning the plate 100%
@gunclemac27292 жыл бұрын
@@staygold902I miswrote, if you look i say reprogram, not adjust, meaning that it is adjustable. Not in the sense that you can take a timing light and use it to set your timing. Yes, they usually have some sort of cam system to open and close the points and you can loosen the plate and change when the points open for spark and close for exaust/power (2stroke, make necessary changes if you want it to be a four stroke in your head) you can't have the engine running while you adjust the timing. You move it, start it, listen to it, until you get it as close as you can and that's about it. There is no adjusting while reving, and or idling to see exactly what the best timing is while it's running. You set it, and that's it, there really is no timing to adjust while it's running. It is what it is.

Also check the every single connection on the wire harness. Even if the connection clipped together properly it might not let power through if the terminals have corrosion inside. 1st off, get rid of that stupid little pitcher, its just plain old lazy! If you have air in there and it doesn't go all the way through, your float bowl won't fill up either. There are whole myriad of things that could going wrong with filling up that stupid thing with a pitcher. Now that the tank is clean, full, the peacock is on, and you've tested it for fuel flow. Check your float bowl settings, that can cause your engine to run and die. If you dont know them, look them up! Their is never any shame in learning and double checking, the shame is not learning and being unknowledgeable the rest of your life. Next physically run something through your jets, a torch tip cleaner is best, but dill bits the same size will work too. Check the air fuel mixture, thats the fine adjustment, the course adjustment is swapping the jets themselves. Make sure the cable from the handgrip from the twist throttle to the carb is set. Next check the reed valves are closed and sealed completely. If there's daylight, they are no good, which i think i saw, but couldn't tell from the video. Also, show the sparkplug each time you swap it out. That's so important when diagnosing engine problems. It will tell you about rings, fuel, exhaust, spark, it will give you a huge clue on where to look. If its still not running, leave the gas tank on. Check for flow after each step. Spark, if a module goes bad, it fails 100%, not run a bit and stop. Look at the magneto. The field or the armature may be on the way out. Check the magnets, make sure they are clean. Sorry, before all that, check for compression. After that is dealt with, throw it in the trash. With the tank on!. A big key you might be missing is fuel! If your carb isn't full of fuel it will not run right. Look up how to set the floats on that machine. I have a feeling that is where your problem lies. If you don't have a tank on that bike, i will do my best to stop you from ever getting advice from the actual mechanics that give suggestions on this channel. That is such a huge waste of time for us! I gave you a step by step manual on how to fix that bike. If it still doesn't run, I'm about out of ideas. Maybe we'll discover something in the next video!
@gunclemac27294 жыл бұрын
I of course won't send out mass emails to get small engine mechanics to boycott helping you out on your videos. Its a choice that they need to make unaided. I was just trying to stress that the habit you have of filling up just the carb with the little pitcher can be a problem in itself, and can be a waste of time for you, you being the most important party. None of us really matter, after we go off, someone will be right behind us to fill our spot. Using the little pitcher can be a useful tool! However, it can cause the problems i had said in my previous comment. Know when to use it, and when not to. After that was just a basic rundown of things to check. Many you've done already, but which should be checked again. I digress. Thanks for the highlight, and no hard feelings. I've given you a rough time in the past, which i apologize for. It's kind of my m.o. Give the person a rough time, then at a point, be nice to them, congratulations! You've made it past my defenses! Usually permanently
