Take a 1’ square of subfloor, cut a hole for a light in it, use that scrap flooring as a guide instead of the pilot bit to protect the Majrex from puncture.

LED puck light junction boxes (J-boxes) must be accessible, meaning they should not be completely covered or hidden behind a finished surface, as per electrical codes; they need to be reachable for inspection, maintenance, and repairs if necessary.

Hey Kyle, it would be awesome if you could refer to Greg as "G-Money" for an entire episode!

Happy Saturday. At the 1:05:33 mark. You should look at smart switches like Kasa switches that connect to your wireless. I wired 90 percent of my home with Kasa smart switches. You can manage all your switches with your phone including turning off/on, setting up schedules, setting up timers. Plus they offer indoor/outdoor cameras and doorbell cameras. You will like smart switches.

You are smart to user the tools that you have available. Actually Greg gets a lot of the credit for making the suggestion.

When you locate a receptacle for that 4000" TV, don't forget to include a box for the signal connection too. 🙂

If you are looking into what to do with those pipes/conduits in the future: Maybe some PoE (Power over Ethernet) devices such as cameras, wifi access points, or speakers :) Haven´t seen you as the "networking through the whole building" guy yet, but maybe at some point this could get interesting for you :)

Good morning guys, great to see another video. I have to say that I couldn't help but notice that today's battery technology has allowed us to be free from dragging airlines around anymore and that is great. But now, you are dragging around a vacuum !

AV enthusiast here, I don't know what your budget is for that tiled tv you were talking about but I think that you need to make it x10. 😅 These cost in the hundred thousands and have sense only on very large dimensions. Right now the cost of a 100 inches tv is almost ridiculous, starting below 2000 $ up to 4000 $ with new 115 models announced for next year at probably comparable prices. And since the tv will be mounted quite low, considering the roof line, i don't even think 115 will fit mounted at an high enough position to be confortable to watch. Remember that when you are in seated position the screen as at least to have it's lower border at eye level.

Great vids and info - thanks!!! Question: How are you looking to give your spaces air movement, allowing temps in the areas to be uniform? Ceiling fans or HRV ducts?

Jack shaft controls the spring and cable. Trolley controls the door. Only good use for a shaft is with high lift. Also the trolley will get the door above the header. Professional garage door & opener owner/operator until cancer disabled me.🇺🇸🙏

Also low headroom is a need for Jack shaft. Then the cable is on the outside of the tracks with a pulley.

I have been watching your videos for awhile. I have one concern, I see that you two do not wear eye protection. When I worked for a machine shop I saw a person loose an eye from a metal chip. They did not wear eye protection and it was in enforced until after he lost his eye. A wood chip can do the same damage to an eye as a metal chip. I work in the office now and a woman was cleaning out her stapler that was jammed. A staple went in her eye and scratched it. I hate to see something happen to you guys.
