If you want to buy long term, then there is not high for such stocks - I do invest on monthly basis.

Please tell us about the income and deducatible taxes on Dividends in Pakistan. We have to factor in the taxes on dividends as well.

12.5 percent is tax so keep in mind that...but he shaows 3 months income so yearly income can be 20 to 25 percent and then from your income money 12.5 percent tax will be reduction on it

Wali, quick question so you invested couple of weeks or months before dividend announcement , is it a short term strategy as well to earn some benefit from the yield? like for e.g you said some stocks will not give dividend this year meaning those stocks are annual yield ones but you i invested in Jan and the dividend expected announcement was in few months you get the benefit within 3 months? Is my understanding correct?

I did not intend to make short term profits as that will be a gamble as most of the times the stock price will reduce with same amount that the dividend is announced.

@@Stryk3r420 you can buy as many as you want - but this strategy won’t work all the time as the stock price deuces exactly by the dividend paid and you will be taxed for dividend. So mathematically, you will loose atleast 15% of dividend amount. However, if the company fundamentals are good, the stock price recovers within a month or so. So it depends
