That is awesome! Are you on the builders group? BD-4.org Great builders community and a good bit of helpful posts. If you need to see anything specifically let me know I'll do a short video as I know it can be super helpful during a build or repair process. What's the current status on your BD-4?

@@B-RadThePILOT I am on the group as me, been watching it for a while and reading everything. My plane is quite a bit further apart than yours even though I have an airworthiness certificate and an n number. Would you be ok talking off post?

@@benhansen6308 absolutely, send me an email. Pm on the way on the bd-4 group.

Good luck on the project. I’ll be following along from Alberta where I’m trying to get a BD-4 back in the air.

Looking forward to more videos. I am in the process of building a 4C, and even though yours is a B, it is nice to see some of the connection points I am working on today. As you mentioned about the fuel lines, curious to know why they did not run in the tubes in the channels?
@B-RadThePILOT2 жыл бұрын
Hey Matthew, the B and C models are so close I have read it's only size that's different. Also, I have TVAP wings as you noticed those are very different than a C/B model. Let me know if you want to see anything specifically I will happily upload a video clip of an area I know how helpful just seeing it together / behind the joints really is. I will probably build another BD-4 a C model the next time. For real regarding the fuel lines. I recently found it was due to the pitot and angle of attack air lines... Although there is a 3rd air line.. Static?? I haven't chased that down.

How has this project been progressing? Looks like a lot had been completed when you bought it, but still plenty to do to finish it. There isn't much BeDe 4C info online. It would be great to see yours make it into the air.

My day job picked up and less time for the project. I'm down to a few hours a week. I see a window coming up for me so I anticipate some strong progress here shortly. I'm slow with edits I have a few episodes that are in the works just waiting to be finished editing.

so, I want to build one. what is your opinion?
@B-RadThePILOT Жыл бұрын
Do it. Zero regrets. It's such a well built airframe. It's easy for new builders and the best airspeed for your buck on the market. I will build another in the future from scratch. Growing up I remember looking through aircraft spruce catalog seeing the BD-4 and said ewwwww gross I'd never. Here I am 15 years later with an amazing aircraft.
