thats what i was told so after not seeing bulls the whole time hunting I was ready to give up that last day. I get lucky sometimes

Same here, that's what I also told him. Out of the 19 bull's I have taken. Only two of them were that qaulity. Well one was a little more of a 5x5 and was a supr giant 6x7 . All the rest were spikes except one 3x4 raghorn which was my very first bull. He definately had the elk God's on his side.

Congratulations Amos. We’ll done! I went deer hunting two years in a row and successfully harvested a deer two times in a row. Both on the last day! I will never forget how thankful I was. That was 16 years ago. I still feel thankfulness in my heart every time I am reminded. I totally understand! Though when we got our elk, we called the kids to bring us wagons and 2 wheel dolly carts to help us pack it out. And like you it was well after 2am by the time we get it to the truck. We were all exhausted for weeks after hahahaha! But man! We all appreciate the meat even more after that huh!?

My family owned 350 acres in the Caribbean I used to love been in the mountains for 2-3 weeks sometimes eating off the land enjoying the surrounding of nature, I always take some n give something back to the land. This somehow brings back allot of memories

Congrats on your first bull. A dandy 5 point too. I grew up on the oregon coast and have hunted my entire life. I can tell you that even the best of the average elk hunters don't kill bulls that nice very often. So you did a TERRIFFIC JOB...!!!
