This video is emotional and intense, and maybe dramatic to some people. I honestly filmed it and didn't want to watch it again because it's so scary to be so vulnerable and know that so many people may watch you. But I refuse to stay angry about this stuff, I rather use my platform to do some good. As sad as this video may seem, this is actually GOOD.
♡ XO Gabriela

This is so relatable. I moved to the US at the age of 11 in the summer of 2003 illegally. I’ll be 30 in a few days and 5 years in the process of adjusting and after those years and thousands of dollars I still don’t have a solution. My best years were spent living in fear. I feel like I have PTSD from it because I can’t talk about without crying. I’m just glad we’re not alone. Congratulations Gabby ❤️🇭🇳

This hit hard I’m 26 and a guy and I went through the same thing in HS. Not to mention I live in San Diego 15 mins from the border. When I turned 18 everyone I knew was going to TJ to party and I would always have to make excuses on why I couldn’t go until I told a “friend“ I couldn’t, and his response was “nooooo not you”. As a guy you have an ego and pride but that broke me. I’m so happy for your green card situation I got that same call a couple months ago and they told us about a 2 year wait. I hope there is a path to citizenship for all the dreamers out there who don’t have paperwork pending like us. God bless everyone

DACA here as well . Came to the USA when I was 12 y.o. It’s so hard to apply to colleges when you can’t even get financial aid 😩😩😩. I’ve been going to community college and still am working towards my nursing degree 😭😭😭 . I am paying out pf pocket and it is hard ! I’m sure I am Not the only one ! But seeing others who are going to the same daily struggles shows me it is okay to sometimes just cry it out . Loved your story !

I don’t know you but wow I gotta thank you so much for putting this video out. As an illegal immigrant that’s trying to become a influencer (since I can’t get a normal job) I truly feel everything you said throughout the video. You just inspired me to work hard and not let this defeat me. Been depressed for the past few weeks because of all the obstacles we get just because we don’t have papers. You just motivated me to not give up, please please post more videos about it. Thank you for this raw but beautiful video. God bless you. You should do a series about this topic since a lot of us don’t know how to get started on the daca or how to get paid thru social media without a bank account..

Gabriela you are a strong woman!! a lot of us have being through situations like yours and its so irritating when people will makes us feel less and use our weaknesses as a weapon to hurt us and staying humble and grateful is the best thing you can do, trust me this type of people are not happy within themselves and jealousy blinds them but guess what what goes around comes around and they will get what they deserve eventually. CRY YOURSELF OUT its okay MORE BLESSINGS WILL COME YOUR WAY !! 🙏

This made me tear up because I felt the exact same way when I was younger growing up my parents brought me to the US when I was in Kindergarten. It was hard wrapping my head around that I remember a time where all my friends were going on field trips to see where they wanted to go for college and I did the same for a school got super inspired even spoke with the counselor I remember him telling me as soon as the “Are you a citizen?”question came up he said Um unless you have a rich uncle somewhere that can pay you wouldn’t be able to come to this school.. I will keep supporting you in anything you do seriously appreciate you speaking up for the Latino community

Thank you to being OPEN to this Topic! ONLY the ones that have being thru this will UNDERSTAND all the sacrifices we went thru to get here!! Lots of ignorant people ask why we can’t get papers not knowing how HARD IT IS! 😭 it’s not just from one day to the other 🙄 we all came here for a better living but it’s hard AF! 🥺When you come here as a child you are clueless of what your status is🥺 until you grow up and realize you are here illegally 😭 and that we can’t have the same rights as someone that is! 😔 I identify myself with you when I graduated high school and I didn’t have a clue of what I was going to do! I was an A student as well but I couldn’t apply to any college because of my STATUS! And I still CAN’T! 😭 but very soon with God’s Will, I will be a Resident🙏🏽 being here for 34 yrs and I can finally be able to return to my native Country 🇲🇽 being UNDOCUMENTED is stressful and scary because we live under FEAR! not knowing what our destiny will be in the FUTURE! Thank you for making this kind of videos and I hope more people are aware of all the obstacles that we are PRIVATE from!! Keep shining!! ✨✨

Your school memory. It made me realize that very early on I felt defeated on anything after high school. So I only ever made it my goal to graduate from high school. I never excelled because what was the point. You overcame a shit ton. You should be proud of yourself. To excel to the life you have now given the uncertainty of your status is something your kids kids will be proud of. Also college is overrated. My biochem degree only gave me a 50k debt and no decent paying job. I worked at Amazon this past winter and I counted 13 people with college degree working at a fulfillment center. But if u do decide to be a lawyer then college will always be there. Take it easy on yourself.

Most people in this situation are waiting 3 years to can be have a labor residence and can jump to USA because here we can't have any option to be better. I' m so happy for you and I hope that I can said this words as you in a couple years.
