Yes the Canon is a great camera. However the comparison seems to have two different lighting scenarios and you're closer in the Canon shot. The right tweaks could bring the iPhone very close in results to the Canon. Both are good options.

I would say if you are wanting a new phone anyway then to get it! I recommend iPhone 11 or 12 their cameras are really good. Then wait to get a camera as it is expensive!

I don’t know anything about the SONY ZV1 other than it is $300 more expensive. It has a longer battery life and has a side swivel screen instead of a top flip screen

Hey! I don’t know when I’ll make a video on this but I use my camera to film but started with my iPhone, and use Adobe premiere pro on my pc to edit, photoshop for thumbnails. Imovie is great if you’re starting out!

I want a vlogging camera along with a camera I can use to take pictures. Pictures as in random things like date night with my husband, selfies, arrival of our baby, or going on a trip. I don’t take my Instagram photos with this camera but I do take all my thumbnail pictures with it! It has a pretty good camera so I’m sure you could use it for both and it’s nice and compact so it can fit in your purse

A lot of youtubers really like the g7x! Personally I love it, and it’s a good price for a first camera. The compact design is nice as well as the flip up screen you just can’t beat.

It has a mic inside! The sound quality is really good! The camera is pretty small so there’s no room to add a mic on and no need in my opinion!
