I can relate! :) FWIW, I have been saying for a while that the Seattle game has the potential to be a 'trap' game for the Vikes. In addition to the Seahawks being a desperate team that's fighting tooth & nail to get in the post-season, the Vikes have to deal with the short week, travel to the west coast, loud Seahawk fans, and the temptation to look ahead to their big divisional showdowns with the GGGBPs & the Lions.

WHACK-A-MOLE is right. Hope we keep adding new targets each week. Give more for other teams to think about.

Great take. I was hollering at the TV this past week, saying "where's TJ??!!" I bet you are correct...last year we used him a ton and it seemingly is because Kirk didn't throw downfield as much as Sam. Kirk loved TJ underneath, all over the place.

So often when an offense gets the ball out quick it tears up the defense. Love it when the Vikes do a hurry up, hate it when other teams do it.

I don't care if the offense uses TJ more or less. We're winning and that's all it matters!

Agreed. Feed it to Hockenson, Oliver, Nailor, Powell... Show teams we can beat them with any combination of our players.

Great points Andy! With Oliver's newly discovered pass-catching ability, Hock's impressive talents & the 'decoy value' of JJ & JA & Jones, the Vikes' TEs alone can rip defences to shreds! p.s. Time to play 'armchair talent evaluator': One important skill that TEs like Kittle, Kelce & Andrews have over Hock is getting yards after the catch & turning good plays into game-breakers. Hock is not as elusive one-on-one....but, otherwise, he is a great TE!
@new2POOL2083 күн бұрын
Meh, he's absolutely elusive. Look at his highlights dude elite. His knee is slowing down or something is changed.

@@new2POOL208 Hi. :). FYI, I did not watch Hock a lot when he was with the Lions, just when the Lions battled the Vikes, plus with some highlights on TV. So, it's quite possible that you have seen Hock do things that I have not. However, since he joined the Vikes, I have watched Hock closely in every game up to the injury, then after he returned from the injury. Of course, I have taken into account that Hock needed time to regain confidence & get back to game playing shape. So, based on what I have seen from Hock when he has been healthy & playing at top speed, I have been very impressed with Hock's (a) work ethic & attitude, (b) ability to read defences & get open, (c) route running, (d) good hands, (e) his ability to adjust to the ball well, (f) skills as a blocker too, and (g) low number of penalties. I am really glad that Kwesi A-M found a way to bring Hock to Minnesota! However, IMHO, Hock just isn't a big play guy like Travis Kelce & George Kittle have been over the years, mainly because his ability to evade tacklers or break tackles is not elite...certainly not when compared to what we've seen from Kelce, Kittle & some other TEs over the years. (FWIW & IMHO, Kittle is a great blocker, while Kelce is a bit better receiver, however both Kittle & Kelce are starting to show signs of wearing down & losing some speed. Those things, along with longer recovery times after games, happen to all players as they get older & all the contact over the years starts to take its toll. SKOL!

Hockenson still has great hands but when I watch him this season he just seems way slower than he did last year. Maybe I’m wrong but he just doesn’t seem to get open that much and seems just a bit slow off the jump.
