I have an '85 Euro with a dead cylinder. I have an S4 that has been rotting in my backyard for several years and I also have another long block, a 5.0 32 valve motor. I am thinking about pulling the motor out of the euro, pulling the motor out of the S4, using whatever parts I can from any and all of the three motors and trying to Frankenstein a motor together so I can get my beloved euro back on the road. Is this possible? Or, am I delusional?

I can't say for sure, but if the euro only has a dead cylinder due to something simple, there's a good market for that engine. I do know there's some stroker and other ways to do a bumped up 928 engine. Poke around rennlist and I'm sure you'll get some inspiration

Green coolant is a no no in these engines.

Yes, I unfortunately had no choice in that matter, and since it was free - I rolled the dice on it. Fortunately, it doesn't seem to have had a negative impact on the head surface, and it's all cleaned out ready for the proper coolant when I refill it.

really missed the "inspection" part of this. i hear the 928 engines show little wear, using inspection tools like a micrometer on the cam lobes, cylinders and crankshaft, even after 100,000miles

my subaru 4 cam belt is 3ft 8 inches half = 1 meter 115 mm = and expensive kit .
