This is exactly like the love that both male and female , medical and nursing, colleagues and coworkers who have worked closely together in critical care and emergency medicine for 20 plus years every day, have. We have been in the proverbial foxhole of saving lives in intense situations and grieving the loss of lives together. We have practically been on top of each other in multiple codes and we have helped each other out every day. We have come to know each others' quirks, M.O.s, talents, and personalities. I was reflecting on what David Duchovny said about seeing each other more frequently than family members. That goes without saying. Most of us who worked full time together for over 20 years have definitely seen each other more often that we have ever seen our families. We have worked together on most holidays, while our families celebrated holidays without us. We have gone to the funerals of each others' parents, and in one case, the funeral of a colleagues' young daughter. There is an unspoken love among those who have shared a special journey with each other for over twenty years.

You just cant deny they do have a connection, to what degree we may never know and it is actually none of our business. It is touching though how they look at each other and seem to live off each others presence and air. It is a treat t have a season 10! :)
