did some research and while the treatment Nic uses (Trissola) was not listed on the article I read, I will proceed with caution and probably not do one again after this one. I am also glad I don't do them regularly, I think in my entire life I have probably gotten 2-3 treatments when I just could not manage my unruly hair anymore!

Long Long time fan! I have had about 3 K treatments and 2 B treatments and I am cancer free. My mom has had and beaten cancer 4 times so for someone to comment this is very strong and disturbing. Period. Thank you for all of your recommendations and opinions. I love you. Your home will be gorgeous and beautiful in the end. All of the delays, frustrations and pissed off feelings will be a thing of the past. There’s so much that goes into a building of a dwelling it’s insane! Again I love you.

Hi Melissa, Your skin looks fabulous! I was thrilled to see that absolutely beautiful engagement ring when Nick did your treatment. I always thought your hair, without any treatment, is gorgeous and healthy. Sometimes, the most natural and organic products give the same results and are much better for your hair. I'm sure you already know that. So happy to see you again! Many Blessings! Love and light, Sarah🙏❤☀🙋

Of course! I think it’s just a difference of how easy the process is and lasting results versus without the treatment it’s A LOT

I also have a lot of hair, really curly and it reaches the middle of my back. My arms die when I try to blow dry it. Now I just let it air-dry and then straighten it with a hair straightener. I used to get straightening treatments a long time ago but now I like having fun colors in my hair so I can't do those anymore. I've thought about keratin but never done it and now I don't think I will. Love your videos. Glad you are back.

Ask your hair salon if they have a formaldehyde free keratin treatment if your'e worried. My hair was really dry too and I just did my own at home with a formaldehyde free keratin treatment. My hair is so soft now.

My hair is high porosity too, living in Houston (super humid) makes it very hard. Try using Bríogeo curl charisma rice amino curl crème. Its filled with peptides that help seal the cuticle and make your natural curls pop😊 it’s also moisturizing and filled with good vegan ingredientes. Seriously a holy grail for all curly’s☺️

High PH causes tumors to grow. Alkaline acidity bodies. I don’t know about treatments. But there is so much that does cause it. I love the Halo glow. It’s awesome yes. I’m so glad you are filming again ! Maybe , before and after of the remodel ??

Hi Melissa! I’m enjoying your new videos. Can you please link the hair towel? I use something similar like a t shirt material that doesn’t remove too much moisture but the one you have looks great because it’s big! I checked the description to see if it was listed before commenting and it wasn’t. ❤️❤️❤️

I would have been tempted by a keratin treatment some years ago but blowdryers and hot irons have improved so much I see little need for it. My hair is curlier than yours. I wear it natural in summer though.
@MelissaAlatorre Жыл бұрын
How dense is your hair because mine is DENSE and blow drying was becoming an Olympic sport for me 🤣
@eme8237 Жыл бұрын
@@MelissaAlatorre I have Medium density so not as thick but curlier. Got the new Parlux Digitalalyon dryer a couple of months and that has ceased blowdrying being a chore for me. It needs more fanfare but i dont think they do social media/influencers. I know you love the Dyson but for many curly heads - its not the one... Also learning proper shampoo technique means I need to do it less. Have you used any of those blowdry sealants -Colorwow/Drybar - might make blowdry last longer...

I get the keratriplex treatment by Paul Mitchell at my salon. It’s not like the keratin treatments where your hair is pin straight and you can’t wash it for a day or 2. It more like a deep conditioning treatment and my hair always feels amazing after. The texture feels so much smoother and my hair is more manageable. Just a suggestion for those looking for a treatment alternative to the typical keratin treatments

Melissa I only get Brazilian blowouts and I’m telling you you would love it. It doesn’t make my hair straight at all it just helps me not havta put so much heat on my hair. My hair loves it and my hair is finer than yours . Your next video do it on your hair after it’s washed. Oh said it too soon lol.

Highly recommend BBs - I do them once a year (the pandemic year that I skipped, the difference with my natural hair regrowth was night and day - serious proof that it makes a huge difference). Seconding another commenter that mentioned BBs don't disrupt the curl/wave pattern, in fact - I actually thought Keratin was the more straightening out of the two? In terms of safety - of course it's putting a chemical on your hair, but you can make the same argument for bleach or hair dye. The real precaution is making sure you always go to a trusted stylist who is extremely well versed in the process. NEVER go for the sketchy groupon on these treatments 😂

Melissa - do your research and live your life - it is your body and your choices. I have been getting smoothing treatments for quite a while now. Like other commenters say - do your research on who you will choose who will have the privilege of doing this treatment on your hair. Research the exact type of smoothing / keratin treatment and figure out for yourself what’s best for you. If we all went by internet comments on how we live our life then no one would do anything. And like another commenter said - almost everything can be harmful we’ve just got to live our lives.

I’m about to get a keratin/ Brazilian type treatment for the first time ever in a few weeks. My stylist called it “Botox for hair”. This one is apparently all natural and safe - no formaldehyde. I have super course, thick, dry aging hair and a LOT of it. It can be frizzy and pouffy! as soon as she said “hair Botox “ I was like - sign me up lol 😂 They are just bringing this to the salon to try and I’m gonna be one of the guinea pigs heeheehee. Your hair looks gorgeous! Xo 🇨🇦

I liked my results from the keratin treatment but I think the process was damaging my natural hair so when it reverted it didn't look as healthy and was frizzier even though I normally don't use any heat only from the keratin treatment. It could just be the stylist doing mine but it's too risky for me now

Keratin treatment is a chemical Process and may contain formaldehyde and that can irritate the respiratory ststem. Overtime may cause side effects for over exposure. I want to say that it could be more dangerous for the hair stylist working with it on a daily But would be concerned about my health.

Your final hair looks the way it looked before you sat down to get the hair treatment. What is the point of paying to get your hair straightened, just to end up blow-drying and curling it???
@MelissaAlatorre Жыл бұрын
lol I think only those with the head of hair will understand, blow drying time was cut in half and after styling my hair it lasts versus poofing back up from sweating and humidity in the air. Before the treatment blowdrying my hair was really trying me!
