I use electronic bibles almost exclusively. Thanks for showing and reviewing the printed version of the NET Bible. The NET Bible is one translation I go to on a regular basis because of their translation notes. Their notes are very helpful. I am less enthusiastic about the translation choices. Sometimes I wish they left some ambiguity.

Ditto. I could've literally written every word up there, so I won't repeat what's been written. I will add that the digital world has allowed me to find things a lot quicker, which gives me more time to study things like grammar and such. And, as you all likely know, every second counts when wrestling with Greek grammar.

I've had this bible for almost 2 years. I don't like the wording of the translation, but the notes are invaluable.

I just received my NET bible today and I am blown away. The notes are AmAZING and make every page a gold mine. So much to read. Seriously this book is worth every cent. I am very happy. Amen.

I love the way the NET reads in the NT. In some verses it appears to be more precisely accurate than other major translations. However, I can’t say the same about the OT. The NOTES almost always explain why they translated the way they did, but I can’t agree with a lot of it. They say they translate meaning, but I think often they go too far with that…..more so in the OT than the NT. That said, I think the NET Notes make it the best study Bible available. I use them regularly. It’s definitely improved my understanding of God’s Word. By the way, I only read it online.

I ordered the NET bible last night, I have been using the one on my phone, however, I feel that when we have an internet interruption or a black out I wont have any access to the notes. 😢

Their are real leather ones if you want to look for it, i have the full notes brown leather

This is one bible that I purchased and simply do not like it. It rarely has my fingers on it.

The actual translation of the NET Bible is kind of garbage--or at least highly inelegant--but the notes are very useful. Related to Bible translations, I know you are an MT guy so let me ask you: Have you heard of the Majority Standard Bible? I just found out about it tonight. It is put out by the same group that did the Berean Standard Bible (which I think is also the same group that runs Bible Hub).

Does it actually explain the text families? For the average person, there is no comprehension what the Byzantine is, and how many extant manuscripts it represents. I read the note on Genesis 3:16, and was not impressed.

NET is great for study, but nothing compares with the beauty and elegance of the KJV. The only one i read.
