This is exactly how I feel about Houndoom! My first pokemon game was crystal and I always loved its' design and typing. I've gotten a shiny and some pretty good ones, but I have never gotten a shundo of anything. I'm hoping Houndoom will be my first one.

I honestly expected a "Now what" after mega evolving your shlundo Sableye. Either way, congrats on it. I will try to push and get a shundo Groudon, since even though I dislike it's normal shiny, I absolutely love it's primal shiny form. Also, alongside Groudon, I also like both Skitty, Eevee and Victini. My love for Victini mostly grew since there was a game on Roblox called Pokemon Brick Bronze, which was shut down but people re-uploaded different variants of that game, and I decided one time to play a randomizer, and inside that game, there was a puzzle you had to complete in order to get to a Victini encounter, and IT WAS SHINY, but because back then I didn't knew what moves like "False Swipe" existed, which means I OHKO'ed that shiny. After that, back in 2021 I picked again by then Pokemon Go, mostly since I got myself a new phone, and I managed to complete at the beginning of September the tasks that led to an encounter with Victini. Not the thing is I originally didn't want to claim it since I thought that the research encounters could get weather boosted, but then I caught it, checked the IV'S, AND IT WAS A HUNDO. It still remains one of my most memorable catches, since it reminded me of that shiny loss back in that randomizer, and this made up for what mistake I did.

@@Krezmor Back then I wasn't a fan of PBB, I mostly played it for a bit until the 2nd gym and then forgot about it. And when it got shut down, It didn't have that much of an impact, like it was good and such, but we all knew when Nintendo would step their foot it's all gone, since the assets were taken without asking, but those toxic fans still remain that can't move on by re-uploading the whole game every time it gets shut down, which is honestly just garbage behavior towards the devs who already moved on.

Funny enough, Ampharos is my 6th favorite Pokemon because of my shundo I caught. It was during Mareep community day, and the weather was crazy (hail storm). I was in my favorite store in a mall where I caught it. Back then, there was the old appraisal system. Once I caught it, I read through what Spark said, then carefully read it again. To my surprise, I caught my first shundo (my 3rd hundo at the time). Since then, that very Ampharos was, still is, very loyal (like Ash and Pikachu). When January 2021 came around, I collected as much mega energy as I could. Then I watched the mega evolution screen and saw my favorite mega emerge. My favorite mega used to be Gardevoir, but that changed when I used my mega shundo. Also, in Violet, I used one as well. That Ampharos carried a team of shiny dragons I created. I'm surprised Ampharos isn't my favorite Pokemon, but no, Espeon is my favorite.

This was an emotional journey and reminded me of why I really love my Swampert. My first Pokémon game was Omega Ruby and I would always use Swampert, but after a bit I stopped playing Pokémon games until last year in which I finally completed Omega Ruby. After that I started to play other Pokémon games but this time I would always try to use a Swampert in each game. Eventually I would beat Ultra Sun with a Swampert, beat Shield with Swampert, am about to beat X with Swampert, rematched the elite four in Fire Red with Swampert and best buddied a 98 iv Swampert in GO. I’ve been through a lot with Swampert and I like to imagine that I’ve done all of this with my original Swampert from Omega Ruby

Lol the timeline of being a pokemon fan is so simular to my own. played diamond as a kid, had the cards, quit pokmeon for a while. played pogo in 2016 for like 3 months. then picked it up in 2020 when i was done with pokemon shield. but instead of picking up the cards again i watched the entire anime like a maniac during covid. That Sableye is gas but… it’s not the best it can be. For that it gets much much harder and your hunt for it will be full of challenges. For this you will need an XXL Purified shiny 100% Sableye, and if there is ever a costume shadow released … you know what you must do. Your journey has only started
