Yeah bak but teh is from the hokkien dialect merely means spare rib tea. Not that it was cook with tea but just pork cook with various Chinese herbs. After finishing the food you just enjoy some Chinese tea here it is called bak kut teh

6:40 You had so many crullers or youtiao left over in the bowl. You're supposed to put them in the soup so they soak up the soup. They taste perfectly like that.

I didn't know how to eat it back then haha

Gui = Kuih = Desert. Malay used to eat kuih on the morning or in any celebration but nowadays, everything abnormal so they also can eat it anytime😂. Donut also is one of the example of kuih here by spelling it as Kuih Donat/Donut.

I don't blame people for eating Kuih all the time. It was so tasty!

You should have dipped the deep-fried dough into the soup to enjoy it. And you should have ordered the pork belly section instead of the ribs part, though.😅

WOW Andy, u impressed me! LOL! U went to the Heartland of the Heartland 😂😂 Btw, Klang is a city in the state of Selangor. Usually the farthest I’ve seen someone gone is PJ (Petaling Jaya which is a satellite city away from KL where most locals live, imagine Brooklyn/Queens to Manhattan). Thanks to the ladies who give u a good snapshot of a local Malaysian-Chinese life. Pardon if they sounded a bit crude, they were just being really real hehehehe… here in Msia, we typically are more relaxed, genuine in conversing, we don’t usually come off very “proper” or “formal”. Let’s see how long you’re gonna be here for, maybe we can catch a coffee! ^^

Hahaha THANK YOU for saying that!! I really enjoyed seeing the heartland of the heartland.

Malaysians are generally very hospitable and friendly. Anything you are not sure of just ask. In the future, when ordrering you can check what's their specialty and order the most famous dish/es. Hope to bump into you somewhere in KL.
