Those stone buildings can be marketed as dry cabins. (No amenities except a mini fridge, microwave, and electric). I glamp in one when I go to Michigan. There can be a collective outhouse, shower room, bathroom. The one I visit has a year wait list, and it isn't cheaper than a hotel room, but is a unique experience. I like it.

For the solid stone building you could maybe turn one of them into a diesel power generator in case you lose power. It comes in handy when someone across the town runs into a poll and knocks out the power. Or a storm takes the power out. We can run ours at work for 16 hours with one tank of diesel at 100 gallons. And just for a little bit more context the electric bill at work is 15K a month.

Here's a few things to know ..JB weld would have fixed that pump and been about as strong or stronger than the aluminum.... It froze or was dropped on something...The case doesn't get that hard there .. Probably dropped... Don't let the pump run dry...if you do...Do not pour water into it until it cools off...It will bust the ceramic seal around the shaft and it won't prime...In the winter..After you're done pumping..You can squirt some antifreeze in it and pull it a few times with the switch off to mix it up and it won't freeze...Don't forget to drain the hose in the winter .. a frozen hose is way worse than a frozen pump to get thawed.... I'm a towboater ..We use these all the time...

For about 5 years back in the early 1990's I had a '71 Bronco. A former gas station plow vehicle that I bought for $1500 (and overpaid, the driver's floor was a piece of plywood, which I totally didn't notice because I wanted it so bad). 302/3 speed, all original and uncut. I did replace a bunch of sheet metal and did a Hurst floor shift conversion. I loved that truck, but finally had to sell it because I didn't have a garage and just wasn't going to be able to repair any more. I took it on several multi-hour trips and it was noisy, but the ride was actually quite good.

be careful with old pressure treated wood... prior to '03, it was treated with arsenic. Not a huge deal, but know what you're doing if you cut or grind a lot of it.
@KainYusanagi
@KainYusanagi 10 ай бұрын
That would actually mean that it's fine; it takes only 10 years for the arsenic to disperse, 15 years at maximum safety concerns (since the place was abandoned over 20 years ago, more than enough time has passed for even the newest CCA lumber used on-site to be safe). Always use proper eye and respiratory protection when working with any form of pressure-treated wood, though, agreed.

Get the paint job on the El Dorado fixed up (same pattern/style/colors, redo the whole trunk and rear fenders), retouch what isn't so bad on other parts of the car, fix the mechanicals (CAREFULLY), and make sure you buy parts that can take those beatings. It's only always broken because you seem to always be trying to break it. And when it's finally put back together and beefy enough for burnout competitions, put it back in circulation. Get even more "Gangsta" burnouts and fans drooling over your skills. That's my 2 cents. But don't tell Mere!

Convert the lowrider rear end to a 4-link and run a more standard size tire. the increased diameter of tire will help your burnouts which is the priority while still being able to bounce the front end. Running a full lowrider rear suspension setup seems to be forcing your weakest point to be the driveshaft and run sub-optimal tires. This way your not dealing with changes in camber Love the content; recommend a fire extinguisher for the back of the Bronco, center console molle panels are also great to clip your carry in if your right handed/open carry. Cheers!

Tire size has nothing to do with it. Smaller tires are easier to spin, and tire speed makes smoke. It's already 3 linked. No need for a 4 link. It would just bind up and break stuff.

Im for keeping it, everything you build will have bugs that you gotta work out. Eventually after building everything better and stronger it should b pretty sweet. Also if you do keep it i would swap out the u joints for CVs, much stronger at steep angles.

In UK and Europe the tiny houses would be "Glamping", so basically like camping but with proper walls, roof and bed but still using communal facilities. For people who like to pretend they still like camping but can't be bothered to put up with all the fuss of a tent. Imho the Impala should become "Project Mere" and it would be up to her to spin her vision on it 👍

Also in Texas you can apply for an abandonment claim title for any car after its sat for 90 days. So you can do this for any of the old work trucks left on the property you bought. Just go ask the DMV what the process and procedures are.

Matt, any of that old wood or exposed wood get a cheap deck sprayer and mix in it 80 percent used engine oil from the HQ and 20 percent diesel and mix it up and spray on all the exposed wood. Preserves the wood and keeps all critters and bugs including bees and wasps away from it.

Matthew, you will never find a better burn-out car than the Impala. That is one cool car just ask any kid who watches you. The kids all love that car. I think that it is worth fixing and give the old girl at least one more shot at it. Good luck on which ever way you decide to go!!!!!!

The favorite thing I like about the low rider is Mere's reaction to bouncing the car in your outtro. I say save the engine, and fix it enough to sell it. I was a cool idea to try to do burnouts with it but the stresses that are incurred in things like a three wheel burnout is to much. Of what little I know of low riders, they seem to be made for going slow and showing off (looking good).

My 1st car was a 1971 mercury cougar, convertible. The driver door didn't open so I had to climb over the passenger seat when the top wasn't down. I hated driving it back then but I really miss that car now.

My first truck was a 1953 F 100 with a straight 6 & "three on the tree" and no A/C either and this was in FL. Now Heather's Bronco is sweet and probably gets the same if not better gas mileage than your new one.

Totally keep the lowrider burnout .....just do more testing and tuning before the event's ..to make it ''bullet proof'' lol...i say this because .....im not seeing anyone else try to hop or three wheel in the burnout pit ......will be spectacular when it hops and pops the tires lol

To keep your straps from coming loose on the vehicle you are hauling in a trailer you need tire straps that actually strap over the tire. The suspension compresses with every bump and thats whay causes the straps to loosen

I had a '77 "Impaler" as one of my early cars, ex FBI car, headlights blinked and horn honked for the turn signals sometimes and never found out why, had angle iron mounted all over it with an inline chicken 102" antenna array and amateur cubical quad. Went into the military, sold it for $300 before leaving for basic training, kinda regretted that a number of years later but then I sorta grew up.

A couple of thoughts. First, the small stone building could be fixed up tiny house style for an extra rental cabin. Second, sell the lowrider and get the 'cuda fixed up again.
