They thought I was trying to flee the country. The officers proceeded to ask me about my work and who I was dating. And how I could pay bail and leave tomorrow. I was like okay thanks.

This happened to me trying to come back to the US after my honeymoon in the Bahamas. I get up to the border patrol guy and he asked me if I ever had issues re-entering the country & im like uhh, no? I’m a citizen... and then he asks me if I had ever been arrested in my adult life. I said yes a drunk & disorderly & he’s like tell the truth because it’s gonna be bad for you if you lie and I’m like that’s the truth.. and he’s like ok what was the date that happened.. I’m like idk the date.. it was like 10 years ago. Now this guy is screaming at me to tell him the truth and I said “with all due respect sir, I don’t know what the fucking truth is” he didn’t like that. They sent me to some scary room for 2 hours 😂
