Amazing as before! And these rigs are crazy realistic. Minor note - after your jacket was torn, you run away facing the camera, and it doesn't look torn. But it looks like you were improvising on that shoot in CO, so that's understandable haha. I love the details, like the snow being scattered when the tiger skids, and the bark flying off the tree when it is scrambling.

Man you are crazy!!! What a God-gifted patience and you have!! As an Animator I know how much pain you have taken till the final output. Hats Off !! Please reply: How much time do you take for the main working part excluding shooting and other editing?
@EdwinSchaap9 ай бұрын
Thank you so much Kamal! I believe this one was 19 hours of footage of animation for my masterclass and perhaps a few more hours of small polishing . So you could say a full workweek. But spread out over weeks to have fresh eyes though! As I do this in my sparetime aside my full-time job. Glad you like it!

This is really cool! It was so interesting to see the project from start to finish. At first I wasn’t sure how it would turn out just watching you run in the snow by yourself but the end product looks great! You do a great job explaining what you do to bring it all together. Congratulations!

@@EdwinSchaap Oh I see. Yeah ... Then I am quite interested to take a masterclass from you. Wanna have a great shot like that in my showreel
You make it look so easy, just one question, is there a way to make things not go through the mesh? or you have to manually animate it as always? (Maya beginner here)
@EdwinSchaap4 ай бұрын
Manually animate indeed, there's always a pass where you really need to keep an eye for any Intersections etc. 😊
@AlexisRivera3D4 ай бұрын
@@EdwinSchaap I understand 😁 final question, is there a tool to make soft body physics for example in King Kong chest or Godzilla neck when he roars? Or you have to animate manually too?
@EdwinSchaap4 ай бұрын
@AlexisRivera3D I have never seen such thing no, it's something animators/supervisors want control on so I'd personally wanna animate if myself. Like I did for kingkongs chest. Btw, No pressure, but if you're interested to see my masterclasses, till July 5th there's a 15% discount if you use code MASK 😊

So awesome. How you added the extra rig controllers that you can rotate, or do you use a special script or tool for it?
@EdwinSchaap9 ай бұрын
Thank you!! 🙏 I didn't use scripts, I duplicated the geometry of the tiger, then added joints to that wherever I wanted to be able to slide the skin. Then added ctrls on that. Basically as a separate rig, but then parented that rig to the mainrig, And used blendshapes to combine both rigs to a new geometry that had all inputs (the main rig+skinslide rig, hope that makes sense haha
@havequestion44079 ай бұрын
😂adding extra controllers seems a lot of work. I found "Sticky mod" tool very useful for similar tasks. Thanks man for answering. I'm so inspired and enjoyed watching your process.So Awesome 💯
