I feel that R* has been very fair handed here: you got a 30 day suspension for using mod menus instead of a permaban which shows they are paying attention to intent as well as abusing mod menus. And storing up evidence and permabaning the lot when they feel safe again is just brilliant. It was really good to be able to enter a open session and hot get locked in a cage, teleported into a deathmatch, or have the whole forum nuked - pretty much for the first time since I started playing! So I'm glad you aren't whining "I got banned!" but agree they did the right thing - unlike the f'wits that always tried to ruin the game for others and now can't. :D

@@amitj7034 If you want to check your targeting mode, go to pause menu > settings > controls > targeting mode; and then you can just change it but you have to do it in story mode because in Online the targeting mode option will be greyed out. If you did not change it, then the default targeting mode will be Free Aim assisted

She got a 30 day suspension with character resets after joining a public lobby that had a modder dumping collectibles on people, despite the fact that she caught on to what was happening and left the lobby within one minute (took some time for the dumps to stop after getting to the "cloud" screen between lobbies). Next time she logged in is when she was notified of the suspension. So your assertion that all who claim to be innocent are liars is BS worthy of Fox News ;)

Did you get this ban like what Pooborama showed in the video? Which is account suspension and reset? If it is this case, that means it is not the Battleye anti cheat that got you banned but it was the modder that came into your session and messed with you, that is how you get this ban. So just remember, if you get banned without doing anything or without using a mod menu in-game but you're in a session by yourself like in a invite only session; then the game prompts you that you got banned; it is 100% the modder that got you falsely banned; and also what this Battleye anti cheat is it records your in-game activity in the background and will keep recording until Rockstar checks the recordings from Battleye. So if you get the ban like what Pooborama mentioned in the video, your ban will 100% get lifted by Rockstar, but it will take time.💯

Modding in any game, should be banned, because Modding creates an overall imbalance, where the Modder can simply create a gameplay mechanic that can easily net them a much bigger payout percentage upon completion when they're involved in a heist, while they're simply decreasing the payout for others. Modders are found to having a kick and a laugh, when they auto-ban fellow gamers from a session, just because they want to. Modders can go f*** themselves because they don't serve any purpose in games, all they do is simply create an environment that is very caustic and toxic to others. They actually think that they have a right to complain about how Rockstar Games have implemented BattlEye into their game GTA5Online, when they don't have any rights too.

There is a HUGE Fallout 4 modder community and to even get the mods the people make you even have to have a Bethesda account to use the mods.. My account is about 3 years old and I have been playing online for about 2 months. I grinded super hard legitimately to level 150 and made 90+ mil. I got banned until the 22nd while I haven't played the game in a little over a week. I found out about it yesterday, and I am very confused as to what I could have been banned for. I guess that it is that a program on my pc is suspicious to battleye. I do not cheat. I haven't ever cheated in an online videogame and I'm just disapointed and sad. It seems to me, that if you are using a mod menu, only to protect yourself from bad actors using mod menus, then the core of the problem is rock stars shitty game that requires you to use a menu, just to play the game. Essentially rockstar set him up to fail, then blames the user for defending themselves. Rockstar should just focus on making it much much harder to use a mod menu, that will solve the problem, punishing good players for defending themselve is pretty shitty.

Welp, Pooborama despite his reasons, still used mods. I got banned too but I've never used any mod menus, mods or cheats. From what I've read online, BattleEye treats RAM Booster programs as malicious programs and that could be the cause for my ban. I've used Razer Cortex for a couple of years and there wasn't any problem with that. But about 1 week after BattleEye was introduced, I booted the game like 2 times and few days later I got banned. Rockstar gave us the appeal possibility on their support webpage but appeals are just being responded by the bot that says u cannot appeal. So, its pretty much game over. That sucks as fuck, bacause noone said that u can't use programs such as Cortex, bacause why not? They only boost PC. I've lost a couple hundreds hours of playtime because of this beautiful policy. I haven't even used any money glitches nor been in the money mod heists. For the last 2 months i have been trying to get Doomsday CMM the only true way, always ending a run when i spotted someone using mods, losing progress a couple of times due to unrepaired bugs, when the progress just magically reset, just to get a notification o me getting banned. If anyone happened to be in a similar situation that he resolved with Rockstar Support, please hit me up

The reason why Rockstar said you can disable anti cheat for mods and third party launchers (FiveM) is because GTA V the story and GTA V online are bundled together, and to me that is a bad decision. I don’t care how that benefited Rockstar in any way but truth is players cannot mod story mode without affecting online, like chemo therapy killing all cells good and bad, hence why I never mod single player -just a hassle to make me mad. Hence why back in the past modders can pull players who were playing GTA V story into GTA V Online. The two games are **too** connected. Rockstar should ship GTA VI single player and Online 2.0 as separated games with no connections to each other whatsoever. The Rockstar game launcher is enough connection, enough “seamless transition” for me.

Sadly, some suspensions can't even blamed on modding, people who haven't touched mods themselves, even mods that you are speaking about have been suspended. I kept to myself in invite-only within the past two months, but still suspended. I had this account since 2018 but never really touched the game until two months ago, going from 15 hours to 200+. 60M cash according to my stats at some point, lvl 67 and no K/D iirc. Sucks because I had just bought a sub to do heists with a friend or two.

I like that they can freely just wipe people's progress, progress that people might've PAID FOR with shark cards. Love or hate the people who pay to win, but rockstar designed the game to be pay to win and now they're taking away progress from people who may have invested actual money into the game. Even if the players who got reset never spent a dime, they spent hundreds of hours in game to get to where they got. If there is a fivem server that is basically gtao but without the risk of ban waves, I'd love to play it. I enjoy gtao despite the aimbot NPCs and artificially increased difficulty in some areas. If they ban and wipe my character, and I know that there's a working paid mod menu, that's the only way I would want to start again. Give me immense profits in seconds so I don't have to grind for months.

I think modders are doing the right thing by damaging rockstars ability to make money off of shark cards. It is so skeevy to make a game pay to win and to make in game money purchaseable when you already spent $60 on the damn game itself. So many design elements of online are a miserable chore to get through. At least with mod menus I could skip long boring drives, or give myself boosted health instead of god mode to still have a challenge fighting npcs but not an unwinnable one. At least I could recover lost cargo or supplies instantly. At least I actually enjoyed the game instead of shutting my brain off to play it while watching KZbin. Idk why y'all hate ALL modders as if there aren't modders just always in their solo lobbies or with their friends vibing the fuck out. I'm just glad I modded enough to get every business and special vehicle along with cars from just about each type of vehicle in game. I don't have to grind I can now just enjoy missions or heists for the fun of it and not because I'm doing chores so that maybe weeks or months from now, I'll have enough to spend on one single car.

I've been a victim of cheaters myself. I have never used any cheats online. But it happens that I use mods, or glitches in story mode. I don't know where these new changes will lead to and if it won't mean the end of mods for Rockstar games. In fact, the only game where I use any modification (and only on two save slots) is Red Dead Redemption 2, and the tool is the save editor. I prefer not to change my game in any other way. But there are people who use a lot of mods, and make very funny videos. I don't know what will happen if they do this with Red Dead Redemption 2 as well. And speaking of glitches... I'm guessing you were off the map, maybe you picked up Calloway's revolver at the start of chapter two? That's what we're talking about. Most likely the new system will only monitor for changes to the game files, but I don't know. I have no idea how this thing works and exactly what information it collects.

I got banned on gta v on ps4 didnt cheat but its just wave bans happening my character is level 206 with 1.42kd owned the agency, the kasaka, night club, bunker, vehicle agency but i didnt cheat or use mods but there is massive wave ban going on but people said its to be expected but in a few weeks should be fixed its not just for pc but consoles as well because theres tons of hackers on consoles i have screenshots of dozens of rank 8000 hackers that had 60000kd

My Xbox Account and my Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3 account is banned all because I caught a online player cheating and hacking the game so as he gets away with it I'm banned for two months until November 20th and I get my account unbanned after 5pm

This guy admitted to it and accepted the consequences on his banned account.He had an account that he never used a mod menu on, and he's gone back to that legit account. Also, I don't know what planet you live on but on Earth streamers use PC's because performance and aiming wrap circles around ps5/xbox.

You’re not alone on this situation I had the same issue happened to me a couple of months ago before they even announced the anti-cheat engine. I only used it to just protect myself or that just help out other people if they wanted it I never used it to be toxic or be annoying to anybody. I just used it for protection most of the time but yet I still got a 30 day band and everything I worked for has been lost especially with the cars they got removed from GTA online so I have to start all over again.

Huh ... That's sucks my friend. I guess I'll be getting banned pretty soon as well. I use a mod/security menu that I put together myself to help protect my account and have used this menu for several years .... No god mode, no unlimited money, no infinite ammo, no teleporting, non of the crap that makes the game boring or could possible cause anyone else any problems ( except the modders and hackers that got thrown outta any lobby I was in that attempted to grief me ) .... Just basic protection tools. Like you, I have my main account I haven't even logged into in about 2 years now but I have grinded my ass off on my Broke to millions account that I started summer '23. So if they do ban me for using tools to protect my PC, then I will just move on I guess .... Sorry they banned you for using a mod menu to safeguard your PC and anything on it, I still feel that is wrong and is only gonna get worse since Battle eye links straight to the PC kernel, a half-assed skilled modded can hack into anyone's PC that is the same lobby and steal info, crash your game and the most scarry, they can destroy you PC if the mess with Processor clocking or anything like that that Battle eye gives them access to ... To all you numpties who are commenting "you moded anyway and ban is fair because it is only a month" - You think he cannot afford new copy of game? 😂 Deleting the character you've invested long hours into is the problem. If he used mods in order to fix what R* didn't care to look after, so he can play the game - how's that fair? You getting occasionally blown up by a moder, isn't the same as you living of game streaming, and moders are targeting you with dedication. In normal circumstances R* should compensate players who were loosing time having hard time playing due to THEIR negligence!

If those tools you used where external to the game not tampering with anything but just doing network stuff it is unlikely that is what happened to you. There is a widespread issue in the community of legitimate accounts being banned right now just like what happened in 2018. My 2015 account with thousands of hours of play that runs a clean client with nothing running on the side, cept discord, was also mixed up in this. There is lot of talk of it on various forums and the steam discussion page. Gamesmedia have ran articles about it as well. I was suspended in 2018 as well and then automatically reinstated 4 days later in good standing, to my knowledge it has now happened at least 3 times in the games history, including this time, that legitimate accounts where mass-flagged. People looking into this have also determined that this is a message is from rockstars legacy anti-cheat. If you trigger 'Battle Eye' it wont suspend you for 30 days but hand you message that you have been issued a hardware ban.

I am still gonna stick to Free Aim targeting mode public session for the high demand bonus. Would be useful for vehicle cargo so that you can get rid off the enemy npcs that spawn in an invite only session and get extra money when selling. After the new gen 9 version of this game comes out, will you be buying that one?

Yet Battleeye is the worst when it comes to this. It can be run circles by other anti-cheat and modders already have broken it in other games. Baltteye also prevents steamdeck players from doing online game.

@@johnnyblaze9217 Yet. Some linux users have bypassed the anti-cheat to connect to GTA Online and even posted walkthroughs. Mutahar did a video about it, and doesn't recommended it however, for obvious reasons, in his case he did for research purposes since he was already banned for connecting from a linux desktop. Bans will ensue even harder though. Now I am not against anti-cheat, I just do not like BattleEye. I've been screwed by cheaters in GTAO plenty, but I have also been screwed by BattlerEye for zero reason on other games, something to do with my ISP and location probably.

Is this on PC or PS5? Can get banned player who turning of internet to change vault content for casino heist? Or turning of internet when spin lucky weal to get vehicle from casino podium? Or if helping other players playing doomsday heist Bogdan Problem, give other player 85 percent, than when land avanger, turn off internet, than do not loose heist while other guy get money, and can invite him again saim heist? What about those glitches? Or glitch when escape pacific standard bank, when make to escape with chopper?
