The baptism’s in the book of Acts was because they were false converts who followed a false gospel. None of the apostles or disciples got re-baptized. They baptized others, and preached the Gospel.

@nicolezimmerman4354 that section of the book of Acts is referring to people that got baptized for repentance which was John's baptism to get them ready for Jesus's arrival. So I don't believe any of them were false converts, I believe they got baptized the way they knew how to proclaim their faith at that time and it changed once Jesus came. The baptism of Jesus is the salvation baptism, which you also need to repent of your sins to be saved. How I look at it is they took the first step to salvation and just had another step to do.

I did the same thing almost three week ago, it was a recommitment for me and me promising my life to God again now that I know what I’m doing. I got baptized so young and when I did it the first time I didn’t really know what I was doing, I was just doing it to show others that I was saved and I loved God. But this year was a big year of trials and doubt in my relationship with God, and God told me to do it so I obeyed and then he used me to reach people the next day at Church. All glory be to God because him I wouldn’t have done it that day. I have faith that he will continue to do his perfect will in all of our lives. ❤

sometimes if people are raised in church they get saved and then baptized really young, and most of the time they don’t fully understand salvation and what it means to be a christian, but then growing up being in church and getting older you might realize well im doing this all wrong i didn’t have salvation, so they pray to God and get saved and they want to get baptized again since the first time they didn’t understand. but the most important thing to understand is salvation in Christ is the only way to heaven, being baptized doesn’t make it or break it. it is a symbolism showing that when you go down into the water you are an unbeliever and whenever you raise out of the water you are a born again believer

Brittany, i have gone through a great deal of problems similar to yours. I am working hard to find my way back. I came close a few times and have even prayed for God to take me away from all of this. I had a friend, 2 cousins, and an uncle commit suicide, and I thought that was a way out, but couldn't do it...hence praying for God to take me.I just wanted to say you are an inspiration to many of us. Catholic point of view here: Baptism washes away original sin from Adam and Eve. Confession cleanses the soul from sins you have done. At Easter we renew the Baptismal vows and the Priest comes around with holy and sprinkles it on the congregation. But it is not a Baptism its a renewal of being on God's side and a reminder that we have already had original sin washed from us. I do have to say, though, considering all you have been through, it helps you heal and move forward. Sometimes we all need that renewal, showing you Baptismal vows in this fashion helps. God works in wondrous ways. ❤

The Lord won't nudge you to get baptized again, nowhere in scripture does rebaptism take place. It does not save you, it is an outward expression of your commitment to God and change. You are spreading confusion to people, this is why so many people doubt their salvation and get "rebaptized" You just got wet and made a scene at what appears to be a water park.

She got the baptism of the holy ghost. Look up Pentecost. Baptizing babies isnt in the Bible. You are baptized when you submit to the holy spirit. It happens at different times for different individuals. My husband was 16. I was 36. My children are 9 and we dedicated them to the church, but they arent really ready or understand the baptism of the holy ghost. Might want to reup your Bible studies. Start with luke 3:16. Remember its for the remission abd forgiveness of your sins. Its a choice not a motion you just go through as a baby.
