When I turned 30 getting old or worrying about wrinkles was the last thing on my mind. Not that there's anything wrong with wrinkles. But a 30 y old usually doesn't have any. I feel sorry for young people today. Not to criticize this woman in the video. She seems lovely. But her skin is perfectly smooth and wrinkle free. Getting botox as a preventive practice is a newest way to sell unnecessary procedures to young women. Social media fueled beauty standars are poisoning women's minds. If you have some money over focus on healthy organic food, go for a spa or a massage. Treat yourself in a way that heals your body inside out and makes you stronger and healthier. Go on a vacation instead of botox. Use that money to create happy memories instead of preventing signs of time on your face. Have fun in the sun. Be happy. Laugh with a friend. Go to a concert. Read a book. Keep away from instagram.

@@Najia93 Most people are under the impression that procedures like botox or certain topicals or creams like tretinoin should be started only after you have wrinkles in your 40s or 50s. Unfortunately they don't help as much as one would think, so yes while prevention can be a gimmicky money making tactic when used in some ways, there is a lot of truth in prevention. A deep static wrinkle in the forehead would only be helped by filler and filler is extremely dangerous to inject in the forehead and not advisable. I'm 27 and have a small amount of botox. It makes me feel better. I suffer from chronic illness and the effects really show on my skin. I've had fine lines from stress going back to my teens that have gotten progressively worse despite using retinoids, SPF, and staying out of the sun. I feel more confident and reminded that I'm not unhealthy 24/7. No different than getting my hair cut, going to the dentist for a cleaning, or doing my nails. I agree with you wholeheartedly that there are many negative impacts in our society and some really bad injectors who are exploiting young girls with unwelcome criticism. Nobody under the age of 25 should really seriously be thinking about botox for aesthetics without first taking the right precautions to take care of their skin beforehand. But for someone in their late 20s (which is when your collagen begins decreasing) and definitely for a grown woman in her 30s, we need to stopped assuming that everyone who gets procedures has zero self respect or zero confidence and we need to stop shaming people with the excessive philosophy about what they should be doing with their bodies and their money. The OP's comment strikes that tone. Content like this can be useful for those of us who have made a peaceful decision for ourselves. There are plenty of other videos that touch on inner beauty and self confidence.

I get botox for medical reasons and it gives me some life quality and milder migraines. I love it and without it the chronic vestibular migraine and migraines are hell. I ❤ botox

when i went to get a facial the lady kept telling me about getting botox for preventive measures as well. it just seems like a selling tactic because im 27 and still get mistaken for a high school student lol. society makes it seem like once you hit 30 you're considered old and too much botox early on can lead to complications in the future bc they're still doing studies on the long term effects on botox usage so i wouldn't risk it either.

Both of these women probably have white boyfriends or white husbands. When Black people (especially women) connect with these men, they become very insecure and make attempts to look and do what white women do. They wear blond wigs or long hat-haired wigs, much longer than their hair will ever grow, they change their voice tonation, they mimic white women to compete for white men. This is so silly. Why would a melanated Women conceive the notion of getting botox (white women of course). If a man loves you, he will accept you for who you are, regardless. Be the natural beauty that God has made you to be.

Botox is far from painful lol it's just tiny little needles here and there. Also botox has always been a thing for every women of every race especially actors but seriously. If want to experience HELLA pain, go ahead and have an acid peel done 😩 You also should get what you love and want not because of your race. This is where black people go wrong and why we are stuck. As an highly educated black man going for my graduate degree in accounting, I don't care what other African Americans are doing. I'm getting it done if it pleases me.

I'm not black but speaking from observation you can still tell a black woman's age like they age too lol you gotta remember it's not just facial skin but body that gives it away too. I think staying toned all over is more important to looking youthful in the long run but I won't lie I've been tempted by the Botox hype. 🤷🏽‍♀
