She was nice enough to stop and make sure you were good and everything was good

Yeah, many people would sadly just speed off and not bother to ask if the other person is okay.

Glad it was just a knock and nothing worse. I will mention. In the UK filtering traffic or lane splitting is obviously something we do. We only do it in very slow moving/still traffic as this tends to happen when travelling at speed with other cars around. I know you weren’t speeding, I just mean the other vehicles around you. The quicker they’re going the quicker they jump out at you! Stay safe!

splitting lanes makes it super easy for people to not see you at all. yaknow. since you’re in their blind spots
@nolongerinuse4887 жыл бұрын
I think you’re doing the speed limit although everyone else is going slower. Is lane splitting legal where you’re at? I think there’s a second difference in where you’re lane splitting and she’s going over too.

Dude you were lucky! I only got clipped once, well my car got clipped anyways, we have this really narrow road full of turns leading out to the first major city near my city over here, you don't, and I repeat, don't ever pass anyone on that route because you a) don't see the other lane over the turns duh b) the speed limit is low+ people go even slower because of how narrow and twisty the road is so you don't gain enough speed, this douche canoe decided that he couldn't drive behind a bus, oh no he had to go faster, he decided to pass said bus, didn't have enough speed so imagine my surprise and horror when I round the corner and see this dude going really fast on my lane, towards me, I tried avoiding him but he was pushing me off the road more and more, I had a hill next to me so i couldn't go anwaywhere, luckily he managed to get in front of the bus just in the nick of time but he still managed to clip my mirror and slam it into my window, I had to drive with only one side mirror and back mirror for quite some time too because there was literally no spot that I could safely pull over to, the douche never stopped or slowed down, just flew by and sped away, it gave me a really bad scare and I couldn't go down that road for a while after that and I still feel super scared to go down said road even though I have to go there if I want to go to that city or anywhere outside of my town, really.

This is why lanes were painted for a reason. Everyone stay in your own lane and nobody bumps into each other..

That could've been worse. Most driver's assume their blinker gives them the right of way. At least she stopped. Dumbass. She's at fault, but as riders we have to be defensive, way to keep it up buddy.
@joztunes697 жыл бұрын
If California has the Share the road law like we do way up here in North Dakota, she was at fault not you, Cal legalizes lane splitting, I'm not sure if we do here in ND but, then again we have the Share the road law.

If a motorcyclist is splitting and gets into a collision is actually mostly faulted to the motorcyclist. From experience, also living in California. TLDR: split at your own risk
