I still can't believe how good this game looks. What the heck. The mods are going to be nuts. I have a feeling some of the first ones are going to be larger explosions and permanent debris and map damage. I really hope Spike makes this game easy to mod. If Super comes back after Daima, we'll have EVEN more DLC for this game. I'm willing to bet that a ways down the road, modders will port some of these models to Raging Blast 2.

I think my biggest issue with the game is the Camera, it feels extremely clunky to the point of sometimes making me kinda dizzy. It makes some supers that have decent animation worse by having weird camera placements and movement. I do hope they fix it but it seems like a big task to fix a camera for every single super in the game. Other than that the game looks amazing and I can’t wait to play it fr.

I’d probably say that the Teen Gohan Ultimate is Top 2, just as good as FighterZ, although the FighterZ ultimate does use fixed camera angles, which does make it WAY different to Sparking Zero. But why not both? Both. Both are good. Although, minor and unimportant nitpick, I feel it would be cool if it was like Mid Goku’s ultimate, and there was a special cutscene where Gohan falls back into base form after winning with an ultimate.

They really need to make them beams bigger. Hopefully in the full game they create custom design beams for each character like vegitos final kamehameha, T gohans FS Kamehameha, gogeta huge ass kamehameha and others alike. Also the explosion from beams should look more “explosive”, kinda like in bt3 where it was like a huge atomic and bright explosion flash. Personally I feel like the beams (edit: and just ultimates in general) are kinda lack lustre on the destructive side. I wish they had more “planetary destructive” cutscenes in the game when you do a super, like ultimate tenkaichi where when you do a beam it leave a huge canyon of your beam just eviscerating anything it touches and in kakarot where the beam flies out into space

True. There is literally no difference bw super Kamehameha and regular Kamehameha, also super vegito's final Kamehameha looked so bad. It was thin as hell and had no final flash rings on it. It was literally just a regular ass kamehameha. The beams have been my biggest complaint since the first look. They just don't feel like dragon ball.

Brother, what they need to do here is that you do a special move, say the father Ben Kamama and the Gankidama against Kid Bo, so that they see the opponent stop the move, it makes more sense like in Budokai Tankaichi 3

the way they opted to balance out the sparking/maxpower mode is this way: using supers or ultimates in this mode will treat the ki bar as a second set of 5 bars that is depleting, similar to raging blast HOWEVER if your super/ultimate whiffs and doesn't hit, it acts like in BT3 and loses you the ki from your regular ki bars. you can see when gohan whiffs the ultimate attack his ki gets drained to 0 cause the ultimate requires 5 bars, but when you hit it, it treats the sparking bar as a second bar, subtracts 5 from it, and if it's not at max it will use regular ki bars to get to the total. this is perfectly normal cause you have to frame perfect throw the ultimate right as you max out, otherwise the ki drains over time. so for example: you are in sparking mode, your ki depletes by 2 bars as you combo the opponent, leaving you at 3 sparking ki bars when you use your 2-bar super kamehameha if it hits: only the sparking ki is depleted, meaning you will be at 1 sparking ki bar after it. if it whiffs: the ki bar acts like tenkaichi 3 and depletes 2 bars from your regular gauge, canceling out the sparking mode.

17:40 I have some problems with the water. #1: None of the maps ive seen so far have water as deep as it used to be in the older BudokaiTenkaichi games. 2#: There are no water physics when falling into the water. In BT2/3 etc you'd fall in with max flight momentum then the water would decelerate you to simulate buoyancy. Its a small thing but made a huge difference. WaterDepth+Buoyancy.

I feel like the world and the characters seem separate. They should have the grass and objects blowing away from explosions and when you are charging ki. Rocks lifting from the ground if you charge on the ground, debris and smoke and crators from impacts when you are near or standing on ground and hitting each other. These types of QoL features were in older games.

The only thing that seems to be missing is the eradication endings, so in tenkaichi 3, if you finished someone off with a certain move, they'd be entirely eradicated. The dub for this also sounds a little janky, the " hurry up and show me what you've got, cell" has a weird delay between got and cell, also not a fan of gohans actress for this, they should have brought back the og dub actress.
