Those clip ins combined with the weight of the extensions will eventually cause her already thinning hair to become more damaged. I know what I'm talking about as I did exactly this to my hair for eight years and it ended up damaged almost beyond repair. I stopped before it went too far and fortunately the damage was reversible, I now have a full head of very thick thick natural hair that is just past shoulder length. Don't fall for this ladies embrace the hair you have and avoid hair breakage, alopecia and god knows what else. It ain't worth it.

Dian Prasetyo give it love plenty of deep treatments overnight masks keratin reconstructor treatments followed by deep condition and no weaves. It will grow. The more you use heat and heavy clip or sew ins the more damage incurred 🙂 coming up to 4 years now since I quit weaves and never looked back.

M O Yes my hair was very very thin from the clip ins I mean for one night they wouldn’t be so bad but for daily use? No way. My hair has now thankfully regained all its natural volume (which is a LOT) something I hadn’t seen in my hair since I was around 10 years old. It’s naturally a very big Afro. It’s taken me years of patience and daily love to get my hair back to what I was born/grew up with. That’s how much I damaged my hair using clip ins. If anyone’s reading this please don’t use these clips they’re no good 🤷🏾‍♀️

as a licenced stylist her hair has NOT naturally thinned out, if that happens it generally happens from the root, her hair is DAMAGED, both heat and chemically that's why the roots are thick and voluminous and the ends are straggly and dry. She needs to commit to only using heat once a week, deep conditioning treatments 2 times a week and pairing that with a protein treatment at her salon every 2 weeks, doing all of these things will greatly improve her hair condition and allow it to regrow. Over doing it on the protein treatments will cause more breakage over time, olaplex or monat shampoo would be a great at home system for her to use as well as the olaplex take home treatment 2 times a week. And to stop lightening her lengths, she can lighten her regrowth but I wouldn't use tone or lightener on her mid lengths or ends because of the damage.

omg yes to everything you said. I cringed watching this because even tho I'm not a hair stylist the same thing happened to me and hair extensions just made it worst they gave me alopecia in parts of my sculpt. Only after seeing a dermatologist, expensive hair salon treatments, expensive medicated shampoos my hair has grown back to thick and super long.

My hair has thinned up from the roots but is super healthy in the lengths because I dont use heat on my hair, highlight the ends only once or twice a year. My only problem is hair loss, how can I fix that. 😥 I only have vitamin D deficiency and used to have Anemia a couple of months ago. I am taking supplements but still my hairloss doesn't stop. (hair regrows very fast, but still my hair doesn't thickens again because the hairloss doesn't go away). How can I stop my hairloss.

She's beautiful with or without them but you can tell she loved them & she rocked them. Because hair extensions can be a pain, adding a but darker color underneath her current blonde will help her hair look as though it has more dimension & in turn look thicker.

Bleaching doesn't really kill your hair follicles, sooo no. It will cause your hair to break off, yes, but the follicle is still fine.

Actually a lot of hair nowadays is synthetic, don't get me wrong there is still a ton of real human hair being used for wigs, but synthetic hair has gotten so good to the point where donating hair is becoming obsolete. In fact many companies that used to accept donations no longer take in human hair because synthetic is so good at the moment.

Linda Booth They're just clip ins. Once you take them out you just gently comb out the backcombing sections (which isn't difficult or time consuming) and resume as normal. Your hair will not be damaged.

I wore extensions colored to match my own hair. I am a hairdresser. It gets old fast. The maintenance is minimal. But putting them in every day styling . And in the summer I just boiled in the heat. Took 4 years to grow out my natural hair. Vitamins and not using heat or bleaching my hair now is full and healthy.
