Wow i was really looking forward to this episode i went to Gili Trawangan 7 years ago and it was the most beautiful sunny holiday ever i wanted to see how much fun you would have there too... I went there in the month of March. I guess 1 month and a half makes a huge difference for the experience. Double bummer about your injury. I biked all the way around the island in one day and had fun at some reggae parties and ate great food and slept in a beautiful place where they spread some fresh flower pettals on the bed for us... just goes to show you that every place is very dependent on context. I also went Thailand right after and had a great time on an Island called Koh Chang it 's a bit bigger and you can ride a scooter pretty much everywhere around that island loads of fun. Can't wait to see what you guys will do next!

My husband ended up in the hospital in Hawaii due to sea urchin. We were send back to the resort to soak the foot in warm vinegar . We kept his foot in a bag in vinegar and in two days it was completely dissolved and he had no issues walking.

this may sound gross to you or you might feel bad but, today this kid in my school got hurt in the eye bad, he's probally blind now idk, he got hit in the eye while he tripped and hit it on a locker i think, no one saw ( lots of ppl are saying he got pushed, by a guy that was mad), my older brother saw him run out with a bloody eye and he was screaming and crying his whole face was full with blood, hes in the hostpital right now, hope he gets better.

people in Indonesia all seem to cure sea urchin sting as hitting the wounded area hard which makes it even more painful. I experienced that at Lembeh, Indonesia before. Actually, the best, quickest and mose efficiant way it to apply vinegar on the wound as soon as possible. The acid will destroy the black thorns from the sea urchin left in our bodies in a few seconds. We saw beach life guard used this way to help my husband in Maylaysia many years ago. So when I got stung by sea urchin in Lembeh, after my Indonesian local dive master hit my knee for 5 mins, I said "that's it, I can't take this beating treatment any more." I asked my husband to grab the transparent vinegar from our resort kitchen and applied on my wounded knee, the it turned fine and the black things literally lost the color, pain was gone. So the western vinegar, not the chinese or japanese type. No more beating!

Oh my goodness! You were badly injured accidently. Be careful! Indonesia was the best tropical biodiversity on this planet. There are huge number of venomous animals. Even though sea crocodiles eat human live there. fortunately you still alive, let's be thankful for small blessings.

its sea urchin. in our place we use to pee on it to ease the pain n desolve the torn then gone. basically hot water will do but since if its intant effect because youre in sea or beach we use to pee on affected part then back to swim.

I visited Gili Air which was a much mellower scene. One night of heavy rain I remember, but other than that it was mostly sunny. You'll have to go back again sometime to have an all-around better Gili experience. Nice video!
