Hi mate we wouldn’t be human if we didn’t make mistakes vans looking good though your getting there, good of your dad giving a hand going to be worth it in the end. Van builds take a lot of time and head scratching as everything is bespoke I’m a joiner to trade if I lived near I’d a lent a hand no probs Brendan anyway take care and have a good week 👍👌❤️🚐🚐

Its coming together Brendon looking good ooopppsss on cutting the headlining board 🫣, quick tip don't keep cutting the carpet of at the ends wrap it round the edge of the board, if not as and when it comes lose or shrinks it will show the board, and look a right mess ? its the best way to keep the carpet tight, see you on the next one buddy stay safe 🙏🫶👍

Hey Brendon. Just some advice a have/am converting a LWB crafter and also used the ikea beams for the bed/garage. Where you used the noggins to hold up the beams you can get proper mounting clips that fasten directly to the wall from ilea parts department - they are free but you have to go and ask for them! Having said that what you have done will work fine, but a suggestion for the sliding part would be to have a price of angle iron sat on top of a length of timber, then the hooks on the end of the ilea beam will hook onto the edge of it and should slide nicely. Just an idea. Jon, north wales

@mark_your_adventures905 күн бұрын
Looking good mate! I don't know if it would help but you could put a length of wood across the width of the van underneath those bed slats which overhang behind the back doors, would just hold them together and make it fully solid 👌🏻 can't wait to see more progress in the next video!
@neiljemmerson88265 күн бұрын
Getting there, you should put the rails for the sliding bed in bedore you build the kitchen and sofa, height is already defined by the first rails youve already done, if you do that it will be easier to work out height for kitchen and sofa ect.
@BrendanExplores5 күн бұрын
Good point 👍 I'm hoping to have the kitchen and sofa tops at the same height as the rail I installed so I don't have to install another rail as such as the sliding mechanism would be supported by them 🙂👍
@neiljemmerson88265 күн бұрын
@BrendanExplores it's a solid idea, fitting the rails and working down from them ensures the levels are spot on.

I don't know how you plan on doing sofa but I replaced mine with something like this: Langford Fabric Sofa Bed with Light Wooden Frame, Cream Fabric I threw away the wooden arms.
@BrendanExplores5 күн бұрын
Thanks for the suggestion mate 🙂 I'm hoping to incorporate some under bed storage in my sofa bed so that design might not work for me but it's a great design 👍

@@BrendanExplores yes I have under storage just used the professionally made parts of the sofa. what I ripped out was hand made and didn't have the quality finish.

Hi me again loving the progress so far. Just a quick question why didn’t you just carpet line the original roof lining board? I can see your Dad is getting the use out of the old van 👍
@BrendanExplores5 күн бұрын
Good question 👍 so the old headliner was really heavy and it also had 3 big holes in it where some ambulance led lights used to be. I'm hoping to get a lighter headliner that looks less clinical 🙂

Brendan, why not buy the IKEA bed slats which are sprung

Your getting there... didn't you put beams on the roof to drill the ply into... and i can't remember now from previous videos did you insulate everywhere where the panels go and leave the wires exposed.. can't wait to see the final finish to the van..i watched a van build today spent two hours watching it to be disappointed it was very basic sliding sofa bed insulation and panels carpeting etc is all they did..six months it took them..😂😂
@maddog196719673 күн бұрын
why leave the battery in that position, get it as tight to the side wall of the van and as far back from the back door , that way you have more space 🤔thats the last thing you would ever need to get to so then yiu have more floor space 👌
