Hello I m a Radiographer. I have 25 year experience. What should I do for getting Australia immigration

Hi Sally, I am hoping to study Diagnostic Radiography at Charles Sturt University this year. CSU is a rural university and many of my friends are telling me it is not as good as somewhere such as Newcastle (even though they have never been to CSU). I was just wondering once you get into the field and begin working if people actually care about what uni you went to or how skilled you are as a Radiographer ? :)

some universities have a better reputation comparing to the other. Find out the percentage of students passing their course in each year level, if that information is available. Some universities could be unhelpful in assisting students or could be disorganised in clinical placement assessment, thus it results in a higher student failing rate. a rural university can be an advantage, since you are starting a new life in an unknown area, you have to be proactive and make new friends. I often find students from a rural setting are more approachable and social. Once you graduate, no one really cares about which university you come from. It all comes down to your personality/previous work experience/work ethic/expertise. I don't know much about NSW universities, but I have heard that there is little job available in Newcastle because it is oversaturated. go to seek.com and check out different NSW areas to see if it is true. Good luck.

Hi Sally, I'm a experience Radiographer in the Philippines and planning to work in Australia. Is it true that it would be hard for me to get a job because my radiographer experience are mostly in ct-scan and xray?
@SallyOverShare3 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't say it is impossible if you only have CT and X-ray experience if your CT skill is advanced (e.g. cardiac/angio/interventional). Otherwise, you are competing with local radiographers with basic CT training.

Hello, im a dentist but i respecialized to a radiologyst, in my country dentist is a doctor (stomatologist), we study practically as therapists, i work in a very narrow field in a privet company, CBST for dentists and otolaryngologysts for more than 5 years, i really only know my specialization and nothing else, i also work at home, just doing reports and sending them by email. Can i even hope what my specialization as a radiologist will be recognised in australia? And do u have similar companies or state medical institutions in demand of specialists like me? only for dentists and ENTs, thank u in advance.
