Alot of people dont know this and it probly wont ever be viable again, but before Bounty Hunter re-released, You were able to get yourself as a target on target worlds ( 318 and 319 ) and if you engaged yourself incombat as a target, you could pj yourself regardless of anyone who was currently attacking You, making it virtually safe to do anything in the wildy, including farming wildy events on a HCIM. Just some OSRS Lore that might get lost in time if I dont share.

Unfortunately the dps in the game now for singles fall ins is almost untankable if a team is good. The wild was never in consideration in terms of balancing that before the whole singles + wild changes because I doubt a single jmod was invested enough to understand the wild meta nor cared. I think that's why they initially leaned towards changing the entire wilderness mechanics in the first place because it was easier for them instead of adressing, understanding and changing things. Just my 2c.

​​@@eliop14 Yeah that's one of many seemingly simple enough updates that could have helped and there isnt much excuse because if they didnt want that stuff affecting other metas outside the wild, just add a blighted version. It's just strange to me because there is just SO much that could have been done beforehand even to coexist with the current single + wilderness. So many even small updates they could have implemented that were obvious to the educated player. They didnt even cut the worlds down before I quit (they added more)🤣 Just an obvious disconnect within the jmod team. They treated the wilderness ecosystem with no consideration with every update, or weapon introduced in this case an ely won't even save you on a full to a well coordinated team, and their lack of knowledge eventually led them to take drastic measure. I'm glad people still enjoy the wilderness but they straight up cut down a real dedicated community within the game for sure.
