My friend and I took Chris up on his offer for a days fishing trip. Chris supplied the Rods and all the bait. We met Chris at 5.30am at his marina. We then went off to get the live bait and then off to the Halibut fishing grounds. Chris's boat was great and his knowledge very helpful. There were lots of boats around when we arrived including some of the big party boats. Chris casted out the first rod and litterally as he turned his back to sort out the next rod we got our first fish. Within an hour we had caught limits of 2 Halibut each. We then moved on to try to get some Lin and Rock cod. After about an hour of fishing we had caught 2 Rock Cod and 1 big Lin Cod. With the limit on Halibut we decided we had caught enough. We did actually catch some more Halibut but had to release them all as we had our Limits. On the way back in to the bay to try for some Bass we passed the big party boats still there in the Halibut grounds as they were trying to get limits for everyone on board. I'm so glad I went with Chris rather than the bigger party boat. Chris took a Photo and my friend and I holding up the Halibut with the Golden Gate Bridge as a backdrop.Magic... It was really choppy in the Bay when we were trying for the Bass and after about an hour without catching anything we were very happy to call it a day. When we got back to the marina, Chris offered to fillet our catch and split up all the fillets between my Friend and I. All in all we had a great day. The Price was really good and Chris is such a nice guy. I hope other people take Chris up on his offer and have as good a day as we did.

Excited for you. I assume you have priced around what the going rate is for charters. I've not but assume your price is a little low. I assume this with gas and paying your crew not sure how you would make any sort of profit margin. You also need to factor insurance, your boat note (if you have one) plus the many other costs many customers don't see or understand. If you are starting low to get a client base that is one thing but if not crunch your numbers. I am in year 14 as a small business owner and it took many years to get confident to charge the going rate. If you offer a good product (which you definetly do, charge the high end going rate, people WILL pay).Good luck growing your busniess. You got this!!!!!
