I found that the watch towers are also helpful, since those fire on the skeletons without them being able to attack back. The downside is that it takes one person per tower but I think it would be good way to get rid of the skeletons. Also I have one person run around while I have two people shoot the skeletons and as long as they don't run too far away the skeletons will chase after them.

you need to compartimentalize things, keep the TC, windmill and farms at approx the same distance and everything food related as close as possible to the TC. possibly with wood/stone roads so they get speedy. establish a farm/build routine in the day once you get to 6 ppl : 2 food(bake/farm); 2 wood ; 2 build(once you get to mining) everyone who is not farming food has to kill deers when they get close so you get spare deers for shitty times build mining camp and masonry afap once you can mine you can change your routine to include stone: 2 food ; 1wood ; 2mine ; 1stone cutter ; 1build(pyramid/other stuff) At night bunch up everyone who is not farming food and try to do building or farming materials, but keep them toghether or easily bunchable keep in mind that food depletes more if you have more ppl, that's why you need a constant flow of bread, anything more than 8ppl and you need 4people farming it.

I played this game several times over a year ago, not too long after it came out. I always either starved to death while focusing too much on building a big wall around everything or got wiped out by skeletons, and I gave up after a while. Your videos inspired me to try this game out again. My new strategy is to not build walls at all. They’re not really much of a barrier to skeletons unless you totally enclose your settlement, and that takes a long time and a lot of logs to do. Instead, you’ll want to focus first on just building a bit of storage, the archery hut, a few wheat fields, houses, then the sawmill and the windmill. Once you get big enough that you have the basic buildings, several wheat fields near your central base, and a population of at least 7 people plus the alien (it gets easier with more people though), what you should do is have at least one person making bread through the night so you have a continuous supply of food; have a few people gathering wheat through the night so you have a continuous supply of wheat; and then have everyone else stop what they’re doing for the night. Gather those people together to form a hunting party, and move them together towards any skeleton that’s getting too close to your village. Have them fight the skeleton as a group; individual archers are terrible, but 5-7 people can usually take out a skeleton in two volleys of arrows. Then if there aren’t any skeletons immediately threatening you, you can hunt a deer very easily with this strategy, too, and gather the meat pretty quickly as well since you have at least 5 people in your hunting party, and that’s how many units of food is in a deer. Don’t bother having individual people hunt - they’re too bad at it. I just ignore the deer during the day. This strategy has served me pretty well so far, and it’s also more fun controlling a little posse and hunting the skeletons down than it is just reacting desperately when they get near you. There will still be casualties sometimes - I’ve had a few hunts go badly - but as long as you have enough people to keep producing food while the others recover you should still be OK.

You 100% can do this --- and then once you shoot them into oblivion you can move the deconstruct and rebuild the fences elsewhere. It would probably take way too much time to pursue this strategy though. Watchtowers are a better investment.

@@LordDragox412 The mass graves were a lie to spread fear to get compliance from stupid people. The really stupid people are easy to spot because they are still wearing those useless masks. Most of the people who died were murdered in nursing homes due to corrupt governors rules. Look up the number of people who died only from Covid with no listed co-morbidity. The numbers are extremely low. Now look up the people who died with co -orbities and what they were. You will see things like "Gunshot wound to the head" or car accident, or cancer, or heart attack.
