N o l e e ! It isn’t a murder. not allowing abortions is literally taking away women’s rights. they should have the right to choose what happens to THEIR body. now imagine this: you are 13, and were raped. you were left pregnant. obviously you would want an abortion. it isn’t murder because the baby is unborn and would have a TERRIBLE life. also, what 13 year old could handle giving birth? or imagine this: you get pregnant, but have problems with your girl parts. you weren’t really supposed to give birth. The doctor tells you that the baby will be a still birth. why would you wait the rest of the time to go through the pain of giving birth when you know the baby will be dead. it’s terrible. obviously you would want the baby out of your body, it isn’t even living. people also get abortions because they know that the baby will have a terrible life. and don’t say “what about adoption” the person still has to give birth. and, they could be in foster care, which is VERY traumatizing. even being adopted induces a lot of trauma. now, normally I respect all opinions, but I don’t respect yours💗

If you really don't want to get pregnant, then you probably shouldn't be letting someone ejaculate inside of you, iud or otherwise. No birth control is 100% effective, people rely way too much on one form of contraception then wonder why they fall pregnant. Also, places where abortion is generally illegal still usually allow it in a situation where it could be fatal to the mother.

I had my IUD for over a year with no problems and two ultrasound checkups that confirmed everything was in place. At the start of the year I began having pregnancy symptoms so I went to the doctor for a test. They told me not worry as it was so rare but after I did my urine sample I heard someone yell in surprise in what I assume is the testing area so I knew before they came it it was positive. It is so crazy to be one of those small percentage but it really can happen to anyone. I was difficult for me to have mine removed even though the string was still there. I went to the ER after my pregnancy test and they would not remove it because of the risk I ended up seeing two other OBs before it was taken out. @tamarasmith90604 жыл бұрын
Yes, it's dependent on the woman, but not because of anxiety. I hurt so bad every time. It's too big, hurts by the time it's in halfway, the pain makes involuntary clenching which increases the pain. They say to relax, as if you can, because it's not anxiety over the test results or embarrassment from a stranger looking at your private parts. I know it's a medical professional, they are just doing their job. It's not like someone perving on you, & I'm not even bothered by a male doctor or PA doing my regular exam. It's from the freaking pain when the ultrasound wand goes in. I tell them that, tell them to just do the scan as quickly as possible so the pain ends quicker. So then they do have to force it the rest of the way in. The pain from the clamps that hold you open for exams/pap smear swabs hurts even more. It feels like they're stabbing me when they lock it open. With both things the pain doesn't stop til they take it out & then I'm so sore for hours after.

I had a transvaginal ultra sound when I had ovarian cysts. It was definitely really painful for me but it was specifically because I had the cyst and the pressure was painful. I’m thinking in her case it was painful for a similar reason. I would imagine if I had one now it would be fine.

Each woman is different...you have to find a method that works for you and stick to it. Some women are fine with the IUD. For some, the IUD will migrate and for others it will fall out. Some women are fine on the pill and others get sick. Some people succeed with the rhythm method COMBINED WITH METICULOUS vaginal/hormonal monitoring. Some women (like me) cannot do IUDs or the pill and cant monitor their irregular periods so have no choice but to use latex condoms. Some women cant use latex condoms because they are allergic to the material. Some women use diaphragms (despite the fact that doctors advocate against them for reasons I'll keep to myself because I don't feel like arguing lol)...etc etc. Be your own advocate and do your own research. Don't let your partner make you de-prioritize your own health in favor of a specific type of contraceptive. Find what is best for you!!!

Im 24 and I had an ectopic pregnancy at 21 (before I had an IUD) I don’t know how high her levels were but usually they give you some shots to try to stop the pregnancy and then keep checking your levels. The shot didn’t work for me so after 2 weeks, 2 shots in my butt, and 100000 blood tests later they did surgery and squeezed the egg out. Turns out I had a cyst the size of my uterus on my other tube so they had to remove that one. It always hurts me VERY badly too. It hurts going in starting at about halfway in, causes involuntary muscle clenching which then makes it hurt even more. Also those clamps that hold you open for pap smear swabs/ exams. Those are even worse. I feel like I'm being stabbed inside when they lock them open. They always look at you & say to "relax, stop clenching", like you're capable of relaxing. I always wanna say "Let's see how relaxed you are when someone is stabbing you with a knife!" but I don't. I just tell them I'm not tense or embarrassed, it's pain & I can't control it. The muscles won't stop until they pull it out & the sharp pains stop. Just do it as fast as possible. I'm also always sore for hours after either one of those things is put up me. I think some women just really are much narrower than average.
@JK-ig9tr3 жыл бұрын
Just like childbirth women have different pain levels so it's not surprising at all. I would never tell a woman childbirth isn't that bad because I didn't suffer that much. We are not clones. Thickness of muscles, placement of nerve endings and organs all differ from body to body.

TheSilentTypo mine was in 2017 too! I had a miscarriage the following year and were still waiting for our rainbow baby. Congratulations on yours and also, I’m very sorry for your losses. The miscarriage was way more traumatic than the ectopic, mainly because I was sure nothing else bad could happen after that lol. I was like “oh babies not in the tube so evergthings fine” and didn’t expect it at all. But I have amazing fertility doctors and a supportive partner, so I’m luckier than many people in similar positions. ♥️

Oh wow, how incredible to meet someone with such a similar experience! I felt that way after the ectopic. I thought nothing could be worse than losing them. Then the ectopic was like a slap in the face. Here was a pregnancy that was sticking! Yay! But it's not viable because it's in the wrong spot. I'm sorry for your losses too. It's all hard. But you will get there! I'll have all my fingers and toes crossed for you. And thank you for sharing your experience with me! You are a remarkable human and gave me the confidence to share 😊 I think talking about it helps, but sometimes I still feel sad and a little ashamed, which I know is silly, but there you go. So thank you for giving me courage ❤️

This is why I won’t get an IUD. I would hate to have no choice but to terminate :( I feel for her

Vaginal ultrasounds aren’t that bad! Just in case anyone see this and gets afraid of getting one. I got one when I was 9 weeks pregnant and it’s not painful.

all of these health issues are so scary even if you take precautions, exercise, drink water, even still you can't be sure a huge problem won't threaten your life all of the sudden

I literally had a normal pregnancy on an IUD. I found out when I was 24weeks cause I was like “Noo it can’t be i have birth control” “it’s winter, I always gain weight during this time” . My periods were irregular so they did an ultrasound and the baby was as big as 23-24 week fetus so we went with that number. I pulled the IUD myself cause I was so angry after the test and when I went to the doctor she was like “noo it’s very dangerous” but I had already done it and my pregnancy was healthy as all my others
@Tonofhats4 жыл бұрын
I can’t believe you pulled it out yourself whilst you were pregnant! I’m glad it worked out okay for you but DO NOT DO THAT! It’s dangerous to have done it even without being pregnant but you could have miscarried. ☹️
@kathrynrhodes77854 жыл бұрын
TonOfHats Ya don’t ever pull out IUD yourself!! Let the dr do that! Not just miscarriage but you can really hurt yourself! There is a reason why PROFESSIONALS insert and take them out. And why you can’t just get IUD like vitamins at drug store but need dr prescription.

I took mine out myself too I was sort of like taking out a tampon . Won’t ever do that again after hearing how bad it could turn out luckily for me I was fine and have conceived twice after removing it

I’ve had the internal ultra sound. For me it wasn’t that bad, but I can see how it can be scary in high stress situations.

I got pregnant with my iud as well. I should't even have gotten one since I had a uterus abnormality (which my doctor didn't realize even after additional appointments). Sometimes I wish I had the strength to sue him but I have enough mental problems because of this and I'm afraid that my family finds out. Since I have very irregular periods I also realized my missing period quite late. I had 1 weekend to make an appointment for my abortion. It was on the same day as my boyfriend's birthday and it was heartbreaking to see him like this. It was the second child he was loosing. Besides those memories this was the worst part... Just a few days later I had my 20s birthday. I will never forget that week.

Just wanted to say that sometimes it requires an advanced imaging technique to diagnose a uterine abnormality.

There's several women on KZbin who tell stories of being pregnant on IUD. I'm starting to think this isn't as rare as they say it is. My cousin had an ectopic pregnancy on one too. Abstinence is really the only way to be safe out here lol.
@lemoncat92132 жыл бұрын
1 out of 100 women will get pregnant on an IUD each year. If you listen to all of those women stories, one after the other, it will seem like it's very common. But the other 99 women are just living their life with no issues. No form of BC is 100% effective. I'm on the pill (thankfully no negative side effects).

Just to clarify if anyone was actually interested, but HCG is not only produced by women during pregnancy. It can also be produced by men or women if there is a tumor growing. However very few tumors actually produce HCG. Just thought i should put it out there.

Like she said, no birth control is 100%. Thing like her experience is rare, it’s not happening to every other person. So don’t let this deter you from BC
