They knew they were going to do this when you renewed your lease 3 months ago. They should have given you notice of their intentions at that time but of course it's more important to ensure the rent money comes in. If I'm not mistaken, didn't your mom buy two tiny houses from ITH? Is there some way you could move your house next to or close to your mom's without hook up water and electricity temporarily? Maybe you should go to the courthouse with the other tenants who are being evicted and apply for a continuance. If ITH has to go to court, someone could record the proceedings. Oh my gosh! I am so sorry to hear this Melissa! First let me say that you are in my prayers!!! ❤️🙏. Is your Mom the owner of the home? Have they said anything to her about it?? In TN are they required to let you know WHY you are being evicted? Or can they just decide Willy Billy and evict whoever they want. It seems that if they sent you a contract already unless it is only a month to month contract that they should not be able to “redo” the contracts until they come up again for renewal. I would get an attorney for sure. Go to the library’s or on line and look up tenant rights if you can’t afford an attorney. Or maybe one of your viewers is an attorney or landlord and has some information that may help you. At least they should give you 60 days notice to move! Good grief! 😡😡 I have been looking at the models and had decided I was going to buy a place there at ITH and move when I retired. I certainly will not be doing that now! To have your security ripped right out from under you like that! I can’t imagine. Does ITH have an issue with you or does a neighbor have an issue? What could be so serious that they just evict without trying to work something our??? This is just so wrong.

Melissa, I am very sorry to hear this sad news. I must say I am somewhat taken aback because Randy and Amanda always seem so nice and willing to work with the residents of ITH. First, I would have been extremely pissed to receive an eviction notice with zero reference as to the nature of the eviction. I would have gone straight to the rental office immediately. None of us know the whole story and it really doesn`t matter. The important thing now is finding a new place to move your tiny home. Living my entire life in Newport and working for our local newspaper for over 25 years, I do have a lot of contacts. I know a lot of people, who know a lot of people. Let us know when you have more info and we can get to work on fixing the problem.

I'm shocked and saddened by this news. 😮 Maybe your mom can check with Lola to see if there is a spot you can park it on there, at least temporarily, until you can get things sorted. If I remember correctly, there weren't any lots available, but maybe she has a place to park it to get it off ITH property. Or maybe that tiny home place you featured in a recent video. I think there is a storage facility in Newport that now has RV/trailer storage, you couldn't live in it but at least it would be off the ITH property until you could figure out a long term solution. I would also check with TN legal aid to review the current contract to see if they are required to give you a reason for the eviction. I will continue to be a subscriber.

From what I just googled it states in Tennessee eviction process does not allow a landlord to evict a tenant without good cause as long as the tenant does not violate any rules from their lease.

Many of you believe everything you see on ITH YT Channel. We were able to escape from there with every bit of money we put into it--Home & Lot sold for what we paid...we were lucky. To tell you what we experienced there, we couldn't run fast enough. We wouldn't live there if it was the last Tiny Home place on earth. We still stay in communication with friends we made there. Many friends have since left ITH and went to other communities.

Prayers and Good Vibes sent your way. Did you sign that lease a couple months ago, or did you just get a copy? If you signed it, they can't rewrite it. It's not legal. Regardless, you need to get ahold of a Landlord/Tenant Lawer and see how Evictions work in TN. You may get another month or two before Having to go. Call around until you find one willing to give you advice for free, and see if they will send a Certified letter describing that you've spoken to a Lawyer and know your Rights (also for free). You may have to make a lot of calls, but it can be done.

Where I live in NC, an eviction notice has to go through the court and the tenant has the right to appeal which gives them another 30 days. Experienced this as the landlord. That’s the longest stretch, since I’ve been watching, that they’ve ever gone without new content. Gordon said his friends got in when the key money was only 6k. Now, they're asking 30k for the new houses that they're selling with lots (see Dalton & Birmingham new vids). I hope you'll be able to resolve this or at least get a delay. I think you (and your mom) were partly targeted because you showed your tiny houses & showed the mistakes that ITH did in your houses. Melissa, Don’t act too hasty. I am sure Randy and Amanda have dotted every I and crossed every T. However, you need to invest in time to speak to an attorney to see what your legal rights are. This has been my concern for quite sometime how vulnerable people are buying an ITH home and depending on their good faith year to year lease for stability. Randy gets “key money” $10,000 to $15,000 prior to the person moving into an ITH lot. So not only are they out that money, they are in a world of hurt finding a place to move their tiny house. If you have paid your rent on time every month and never been late, then they need to at least provide you with an explanation. This definitely does not look good for Randy and Amanda. I can’t believe they are that dumb. To evict you and others without due cause and in the middle of your lease they write a new lease and have not yet given to you. Please go see an attorney. Think of all the vulnerable old seniors living there. Perhaps Randy and Amanda are in the right but it sure makes their down home, caring, champion of the underdog persona look real bad. I am sure this could cost them a lot of future house purchases. I am going to watch closely what happens to you before I consider making an ITH purchase. Please report back to this group and let us know what is happening. You are in our prayers.🙏

Melissa i looked up the laws in Tennesee. It says the landlord is suppose to go to court to get a eviction. You have not done any of the things yiu can be evicted for. A email does not cut it. @@inthesunbythebeach Bryan shipped me two cans of spray foam, a spray foam gun, and about 8 pieces of angle iron so that I could replace the angle iron at the front and rear edge of the interior where sunlight was shining in at. I had sealed the exterior roof line with Lexel prior to him finally reaching out to me over a month later and that has kept the water out so far. Today, I unsubscribed from ITH after being a follower since 2016. I honestly can't support them anymore.

There's a guy with a small YT channel, "called out" who recently bought an Incredibox with off-grid. He mentioned a problem with his solar but didn't elaborate. I've read some reviews & comments abt ITH custom builts where there were so many mistakes, Incrediboxes with leaks, screws loose, etc. Something fishy going on, not just with the houses but the whole company & communities. They also delete negative comments on their channel.

I’d much rather pay more monthly, than pay thousands upfront for the “privilege” of living in one of their communities. Also, the Mountain is an unmitigated disaster. It’s so far behind schedule it’s ridiculous. And good luck to those waiting on Buffalo Creek. Probably won’t be ready until late 2025 (at the earliest).

To tell you what we experienced there, we couldn't run fast enough. We wouldn't live there if it was the last Tiny Home place on earth. We still stay in communication with friends we made there. Many friends have since left ITH and went to other communities.

Melissa, even if your lease does get renewed, you should probably start planning on looking for a new place. I hope they give you more time. 30 days to move a tiny home is considerably more complex than moving from apartment to apartment. Regardless of the reason, I think this should be a wake up for anyone living in a tiny home renting space that 30 days notice is not enough and 60 should be the minimum. ITH states in nearly every video theres not enough locations to place tiny homes so to give a resident just 30 days seems unrealistic, regardless of the situation. 60-90 days seems more reasonable. This is why 'key money' is a bad idea for renters. You don't get it back and have no control over the lot you rent or what ultimately happens to the property in the 'community' at large or your future if community is sold. You're better off paying full rent for a developed location, even though it will be more than the advertised '200' a month. Everything will keep going up, it always does, but at least by paying rent on a developed area or somewhere with no suspect 'key money' you are paying for what you see and can stay or move based on your needs not the future whims of others.

The key money only works out if you intend to stay there for many years. Unfortunately, ITH ultimately decides how long you actually get to stay. And they can keep running their key money scam for every new resident that moves in despite the property already having full infrastructure in place. When they began asking for $10,000 (now $15,000), I scratched them off the list. I’d rather pay a higher monthly rent with no strings attached. On top of the uncertainty of how long you can actually stay there, their homes have experienced massive price increases overnight. The Woody line increased by $20,000 within weeks of being introduced. They’ve become an absolute joke.

Their plans for Abbeville & Nevada communities were not allowed by authorities, so I think they need new infusion of cash. They're evicting current renters & getting new key money. Honestly, this is why I won't purchase a home from ITH...or...pay their absurd "key money" fees for their 1-year lease. They're *not* trustworthy. They *seem* nice, but I caught them in a HUGE lie to people they sold homes to the day before Thanksgiving, and then they gave us that $5K discount on Black Friday, Randy claiming he "didn't know about the sale until late Wednesday night before Thanksgiving. Guess what? I found one of their salespeople advertising the sale 3 days BEFORE Thanksgiving and took photos of the post. Mind you, I was the person getting the deal with $5k off the price. However, the fact that he came back after the Black Friday sale and told an unapologetic, baldfaced lie about the people who had signed contracts 1 day before Thanksgiving and were not told about the sale, I immediately cut all contact with ITH on the purchase I made. To watch Randy lie on video...like he was the victim and his customers were trying to screw him over...when it was Randy who lied all along, never telling them his own salespeople knew about the sale days earlier??? Oh hell no... I had already placed my order and never signed the contract, for no reason other than Randy being a baldfaced liar (and I had watched hundreds of hours of their videos). Now, I don't wish their business harm, but I do warn people to recognize who they're dealing with and what they're truly capable of doing. Randy doesn't think twice about lying, sadly. He will promise people whatever he wants, with no intention of being accountable when he can't keep his word. Randy's word is worth nothing. You are in the forest, which is highly desirable. So, anyone in the forest is in danger because if they have to evict you all 1 by 1, just so they can sell more expensive homes with a forest lot, they're going to do it. Their own contracts probably state they don't need a reason to evict you. This is why I think people who pay that key money are FOOLS to trust them. Randy's brothe is the one who writes those contracts, and Randy even screwed his own brother over and made him pay full price for his Birmingham...and a week or two later...THEN offered him a full-time job that would've enabled him to get a discount on his home. If he'll do that to his own brother, of course, he has no problem with whatever happens to anyone else. Feel free to delete my comment. I won't be offended. I just wanted you to know it's unlikely to be personal, they just feel entitled to do whatever they need to do no matter who gets screwed over in the process. I hope your mom can loan you the money to move out to her place until you can make another plan. I'm so sorry for both you and Kody, and anyone else there who is getting evicted. I honestly cannot tell you how many times I have had to stop myself from buying one of their homes that came with a forest lot because my gut told me there was ZERO integrity there that would guarantee me any safety net to pay thousands of dollars to move across the country there. @@Stacey721 Didn't Randy do a house tour about a month ago and said that person was going to work from him taking over the office? One bad apple can spoil the bunch. (I think Melissa said they said they would renew the lease but never actually sent the new lease and then reneged on the renewal, but I would think it would be like an oral agreement, where it should be binding.)

ITH definitely sounds like scammers.. @TinyDreamer also talked about them a few years ago.. how they talk you nice till get you to sign a contract once you stop listening to them they stop talking to you and even block you. They probably have to send that out if they show you haven't responded back to the lease (whether it didnt get sent to you or whatever reason, at the end of the day they have to run the place according to laws bec they are a business) . Just call them every day until you find out the truth. I do this all the time, get upset and freak out and then find out there was an easy solution w i took the steps and didnt panic. Just take action to find solutions and you will feel better. Theres already ppl in your comments offering to help. I suffer w this same anxiety in my brick & mortar home always pay chk to paychk . You're smart, you got this.

Melissa, did you say you had signed a lease a few months ago? What was the term of that lease? I think they have to give you cause if they are breaking a lease. I suggest you send a written request for a reconsideration. List your reasons, financial hardship, finding an alternate space for your home on short notice, needing to book it to be moved. Ask for an extension if nothing else.

I think by law they have to tell you why!!! I will report them myself and make sure they don't get anymore Business. I'm sizzling mad about this and if they know what is good for their business they will think twice. By the way Incredible tiny homes...I'm not far from the new Huntsville, Al tiny home community and have friends wanting to move there. Maybe they will change their mine after hearing this!

The Alabama tiny home community is not owned by ITH. The owner, Hans, is letting ITH have exclusive rights to build the homes. Randy said they are going to be busy with the RJO Deal homes and back to orders for Incredi-boxes....so it may be March until they can begin homes for Alabama. I hope Hans doesn't mind waiting to generate rental income for several months. (sarcasm)

If it looks like an ITH problem, then I guess every video ITH makes will from now on have comments indicating the problem until it’s addressed. Just the fact that it’s only 30 days notice is at least one problem. Melissa i am sorry you have to go thru this.
