imari K just because someone’s acne and scarring isn’t the WORST doesn’t mean the problem doesn’t exist.... scarring from acne in a lot of ways is WORSE than actual acne. Especially the pitted kind. Everyone deserves to better themselves and it’s not “vain” to do so. Everyone has a RIGHT to strive for better...
@Winxdiamond

imari K it’s IMPOSSIBLE to feel beautiful and confident when you have bad acne and bad scarring... it DESTROYS your self esteem.. getting something like this to take away the scars is tremendously beneficial to your self esteem..

I have really, really bad acne scars on my face and I've tried all the pills, all the topicals, almost everything on the market. But no dermatologist wants to treat me further than that. They all tell me the peels and lasers aren't for POC so "if this doesn't work, it just doesn't work." It's so frustrating. I just want to be comfortable in my skin 😔🙁😟

Acne scars can be treated regardless of what your skin color is. You just need to make sure your dermatologist has experience with treating patients who have skin similar to yours. If they're an unskilled dermatologist, or if they don't have any experience with patients who have your skin color, then you need to find a new dermatologist.

I'm always amazed any time she shows herself without glasses or with her hair tied back... she looks like a completely different person. (Both totally beautiful though!) It's kinda fascinating to me that the visual impression someone can give is affected so much by hair and glasses. She totally owns her look, though, which is awesome.

Pulsed-Dye lasers like excel v or v beam that zap redness/small broken capillaries are almost always cheaper than resurfacing lasers that deal with texture/acne scars. It’s apples and oranges. The latter is obviously more aggressive and requires more downtime.

This worked so well for me. So what I did was 1. Wash my face before I go to school with acne treatment. 2. Use a benzoyl peroxide solution 3. Use lotion ONLY IF NEEDED After school: 4. Take makeup off 5. Wash face with acne treatment 6. Use a benzoyl peroxide solution 7. Use lotion ONLY IF NEEDED Do this straight after u get home Before u go to bed: 8: take Neosporin and rub a thin layer into skin like a lotion 9. Take a lot more Neosporin and glob a huge amount all over face 10. Sleep preferably on back when you can’t rub all of it off 11. In the morning rub remaining Neosporin into skin (if u used enough u should have some left on) Repeat This works because acne is basically an infection on ur skin and Neosporin helps heal infections ie: cuts scrapes burns minor infections. It won’t work completely on the first day but after a week I had baby soft skin and no acne. This also helps with dry skin, patchy skin scarring and scabs. If ur reading this please try it and share it with others as I will do the same.

I just got this treatment done today and I can tell you it wasn’t cheap but it wasn’t crazy expensive either. It cost me around $35 which seems about right given that it was a half an hour session. There’s no way she paid $2500. Also, I don’t expect it to completely remove my scars overnight. As she said, this is a process and to see more dramatic changes you must repeat this treatment.

Coconut oil cured my acne. Since I had really dry skin my scars and pimples couldn’t heal, as it needs moisture to do so. I tried all kinds of moisturisers, but none worked. Then I started using coconut oil, both as a face wash and moisturiser. Just a little bit. And within five days my skin already looked much better. But it don’t work for all skin types though. I got recommended by my doctor, to get an allergy test - so do that first to make sure it won’t make your skin worse. My doctor also informed me that Coconut oil is recommended only for oily or dry skin... but that there hasn’t been many testing on the oil. ❤️

You should have mentioned that there are several different kinds of laser resurfacing. This is non-ablative fractional laser, which is less invasive but requires multiple treatments. Whereas an ablative resurfacing laser is very invasive (it truly looks like your face is sloughing off) but it’s a one-and-done treatment for very severe scarring (which this person does not have).

mr. krabz so yes, I am actually calm. Sometimes jokes can hurt certain groups of people like mentally ill people so it being intended as a joke doesn't change my point at all. Thanks.

stillnotstill literally all I said was triggered that doesn’t have anything to do with mental illness... I did not even mention that and that is not making fun of mental illness. I don’t understand what you are arguing about
@stillnotstill
@stillnotstill 6 жыл бұрын
mr. krabz The word trigger is often used as this kind of catch all for feeling bothered. But the concept actually comes from the mental health issue being triggered. For example someone with PTSD may have a flashback because of a certain thing that set it off, which is called a trigger. So when it is joked about and/or used as a synonym for just being bothered, it makes it harder for people with legitimate triggers to use that word to describe their triggers and makes it harder to be taken seriously. So I understand you didn't use it to refer to mental health - that is my point. I can find some links if you are interested further but otherwise I am going to be done talking about it as I am not interested in a protracted argument or anything. Have a good day.
