So I ordered another roll of the same brand and this roll also didn't come as the description stated. On top of that, I discovered that there's another brand of film on the market which is basically 3x the price but with very similar (nearly identical) features and colors. If you ordered the teckwrap rolls that say with top coating. Those are the paper release liners. You had to order the ones that just say HD not the ones that say SH. You can even tell in the pictures that it has paper release liner and the HD ones you can see the plastic release liner.

totally agree. i don't think Black Cherry Ice is under the HD line on the website. which means it does not have plastic liner. Christian ordered the wrong product.

We did order this many months ago so perhaps it was updated. But even without the plastic release liner the film was still very glossy when comparing to Inozetek which had the plastic release liner. I'd say the value of Teckwrap is great, and they also give you access to nearly all of the Inozetek colors.

Left black seems more darker and right side seems like foggy and not as a clear black as the other one

That's what I noticed too. The hue, itself seemed to be a very similar black, but the right had that upper level of fog/haze to it. The orange peel looked the same, but the left had a bit more depth to it, just because it didn't have that faint haze. The other thing I have noticed too, is the camera can pic up issues/colors, the eye doesn't easily detect. The purple on my bike, looks more blue, in camera, but the viper green..looks unchanged, vin camera.

If you're comparing it to Ino Midnight Purple side by side. It's like comparing a paint job done in remote village vs BMW oem paint. Your best bet is to choose top coated version from Teckwrap. That has even better finish than their HD vinyls. KLT also offering supergloss PET liner wraps.

Man in some way's I owe you an apology, i've watched few of your vid's and never once doubted what you were teaching, but I definitely had wishful curiosity driven by that price. It ended up starting as maybe save a few bucks on giving a 15 yr old clapped out ford some pop,(covid insanity) to a month long investigation of analyzing websites, review's, countless emails with several overseas companies, i even looked into difference's in cast vs calendared and adhesives at a molecular level. My conclusion was everything from china is from under one roof. Also my experience from years of selling and installing floorcovering , when you can match colors/dyelot exactly is virtually impossible unless its off the same roll. I can honestly say they never lied to me and always replied back swiftly but they were very clever at only giving half the answer. I never lied neither but i definitely stretched my story, think i even got a little better price then you lol. Maybe currency

Tunneling (at least on PPF) comes from improper storage. You have to tighten the roll back up. I don’t think those orange plastic things work for proper storage on film with a cap sheet. Just use tape.

I'm late to the party, but funny story about Inozetek. I've done around 15 cars with the stuff. I've found some wild stuff between the backing release liner and vinyl. All sorts of bugs and other weird contaminates. Anytime I contacted the company about it, they were super friendly and quick to get it taken care of.

I did the front end (nose, hood and fenders) of my 06' Scion TC in TechWrap carbon fiber. First time ever wrapping and it actually turned out wonderful. Got it on a deal for 60"x32' for $115... Yes there were some things I should have done differently, but for me installing it in the yard out in the sun, it actually went on smoothly and cleanly... It has been a year now as well and still clinging on very well.

The adhesive isn't black; its clear on both. The black is a protective layer to prevent the adhesive from pulling at the cast when removing or repositioning and to prevent colors from bleeding through from the paint.

@@SHOTAMAN77 i think the total for a 60ft roll is $605 including shipping(shipping rates differ depending on where u live) and it takes 6-7 days to arrive from the moment of shipping, sometimes it takes a little longer due to covid. Teckwrap lasts 3-5 years depending on ur care. Avery lasts 10 years and it costs $150 more. Idk if they have that color aswell but u can check at metrorestyling.com

yea I looked into it, is there any manufacturing warranty on the inozetek vinyl? I dont see any information. No wonder they change the backing paper and upsell 3 to 4 times the price. Looks china to me. Cant sell that to a customer because after 3 - 4 years of the wrap being on the car, they end up sandblasting and repainting the whole car. Get some proper vinyl like Avery 9 series and at least know that your wrap isnt ruining your cars paint and body. We may not offer that kinda warranty at the shop (1 year tops) but at least we know down the line that customer wont have anything negative to say about us, and the manufacture can back that up. Saving by using cheap vinyl never ends up saving you money, take it from experience.

I use Teckwrap making a year now... Prefer it over 3M, and price VS quality I think it's the best one available in Europe. The only problem it's that some films leave a bit more that I would like of glue lines 🙄 in over all I work fine with teckwrap

I worked with 3M, Hexis, Oracal, Avery and teckwrap.. I like Hexis and perfer Teckwrap because off the vast colors they offer at a great value.

I thought I watched every video you made but somehow I missed this one very important video. I just bought the VViDid high gloss piano black wrap but only 1 1/2’ by 5’ to practice on my old 67 dash that is painted metal black enamel. Eventually I plan to wrap my 20+ year old black paint but I need to get comfortable with the small stuff first and then figure out what vendor product to use as well as color. Thanks for the videos. BTW, I will be wrapping over a black lacquer paint job. Not sure what I will encounter there…………

This is super interesting because Inozetek does not sell in Mainland China. They sell in Taiwan and Hong Kong but not Mainland China however, we all know that Teckwrap and Inozetek are manufactured in Mainland China. They sell Teckwrap in China, and judging by this vid the Teckwrap high gloss HD vinyls are probably identical to Inozetek. Thanks for the informative video

No, that's only if it has the hard protective cap. Vvivid should be a soft and stretchable plastic cap which can be installed with the film before removing. Double check that it's soft and not hard

Im in the UK, and I was trying to get hold of some Inozetek to wrap my own car. I struggled to find out how to buy from them, until I realised you cant. I then contacted a vinyl wrap shop who agreed to sell me some if I wanted it, at a cost of GBP£1080 for a roll. If you want Inozetek, just find a shop who will buy it from them and sell it to you.

AFAIK Teckwrap has 2 line up that using plastic liners. The HD and top coated, which is HD that they coat with self healing coating. The top coated has even smoother finish than HD one. I think you should do stretch test between those two. And see if top coated can hold the gloss better when it stretched.

Surely the idea of the cap is prevent marring on installation. If you need to remove for proper stretching and to avoid tunnelling which is pretty difficult for a DIYer then surely best to avoid both

I wouldn’t be surprised if they were made in the same factory. Although I will say like some people have mentioned before the HD is going to have the PET liner just like the inozetek. This would make even more sense if Teckwrap made inozetek . There is another KZbin vinyl wrapper that I watch called paradox the wrapper, he has his own brand of vinyl and I guarantee his vinyl is being made by teckwrap as well

Yeah. This guy lives in my city. I watched his video over a year ago when he compared “his” own brand to INOZETEK’s the most popular colors like midnight gold and mamba green. In that video I remember he mentioned if INOZETEK and his own brand are both made at the same place. “Well maybe they are” is what he said. Since then I’ve always been waiting this👆🏻 detailed review from CK Wraps on these brands because Paradox has always used TeckWrap before he’s created his own brand. That was obvious to me. Discussing Chinese brands yet my experience has been BAD with VVIVID. First off VVIVID release liners are paper also. Never seen anything else. Second, I've got 5 out of 8 rolls damaged or wrong product. Getting 2 types of VVIVID from amazon and vvivid vinyls, or vvivid shop. One is plastic bagged, no cardboard center roll, and mostly scratched/damaged on first few feet of material. Real quality VVIVID had a thicker blue/purple cellophane wrapped (not plastic bagged), had a cardboard center core and perfect condition. The 2 corsa reds i got are a completely diff shade one darker, yet have vvivid+ on backing and labeled corsa. First red was gray glue, second from vvividshop was red glue and square release. The black carbon fiber was same results. First roll gray and hex, but another roll from vvividshop is black glue. A roll i had to send back had black streaks from dye or roller marks. I think we'll just say we're CK the next time order (to get the good stuff...)

Sending you the wrong color green is a really big deal. If you had a customer that ordered that color vinyl your time frame would be screwed and you would lose a customer.

I went to a wrap shop and they quoted me $800. I could get the wrap for $200 and do it myself. The pieces I want wrapped an pretty flat. The wing mirrors might be tricky, but overall it seems pretty easy.

As a wrap consumer, I've had my 2012 911 wrapped 3 times. One was avery, one was 3m, and the most recent was Inozetek. The Inozetek is the glossiest, most paint like wrap I've seen. I wanted a Porsche factory color. Inozetek had Miami blue. It looks just like Porsche Miami blue. My installer recommended it. I'm very happy with it. It gets a lot of compliments. My installer charged me the same as for the other wraps, so cost was not an issue.

@@morganvon5664 depending on whether you're in the US or not, but in Canada it's quite a bit more money because of shipping, duties and dollar conversion. If you're in the US the pricing is similar to Avery and 3m but with receiving less film in the roll. It isn't a problem as ming as the sqft of the vehicle doesn't exceed the sqft in a full roll, there wouldn't be a need to charge more for material cost.

If I had to venture a guess, I would say another company manufactures the vinyl and then each company buys it, then brands it. Much like Tires for Cars. There is only I think 3 or 4 major tire manufacturers in the world, take Good Year for example, they make tires for Dunlop, Goodyear, Fulda, Falken and Kelly. Also, each one of the "Brands" tires in the same size will have a different price.

Love your videos CK I have learned a lot from you thank you!!, one thing I found out (no disrespect) about the Teckwrap white diamond I just did, yes it had the plastic liner, is I had an easier time when I left the top liner on for the initial start over most of the flat surfaces like the door panels and even qrt. panels. I found, with the aggressive tacking adhesive, the top liner help hold the vinyl flat when squeegeeing and went much faster with little wrinkles or air bubbles, once I got to areas where it wanted to buckle I took the top layer off and worked the edges. congrats on the baby!

Spoiler alert! All Techwrap car wrap film (series 180 and 190) is calendared. I wouldn't be surprised if Inozetek is entirely calendared, as well, as contrasted with their claimed cast/calendared.

That's a great color. Almost looks anodized. If you can't find the same blue, a matte black would look good covering all the chrome.

Okay so going over my swatch books closest is KPMF Excelsior Blue look it up on the IG tags on the search bar or GOOGLE images. It has the darkness blue when light doesnt hit it and deep metallic blue when i hit my flashlight on it.

When you compared the 2 purple wraps you could see the one on the left had a slight blurr to the reflection of the light fixture in the ceiling. Was it the camera, I don't know. But watch your video, maybe you'll see the same thing I did.

He explained it was from the paper release liner, he pointed it out too. Paper liner does not give the same level of clarity in reflections. As you see with the black though, when both had plastic and they were the same.

I like Teckwrap for that reason. Weaker glue than most, which means it won't pull back the paint later.

It’s pulling from the edges because it’s shrinking. You don’t want that to happen to your car. If you remove with a lot of heat, like a steamer mop attachment it will not damage the paint. If you want low tac glue use cheetah wrap

@@ironaddictsnation2945 shrinking issue never happened to me with any Teckwrap products. I believe you need to use different installation method across all different brands to avoid those issues.

Of course you need to use different methods and techniques for different products. But the color book edges are shrinking away from the sides exposing white within a year of having it. Not an installation issue, just an issue with the vinyl over time

We use Avery on all of our wraps. We dont like 3M.

I've used 3m. It's not perfect, but I do also use and prefer Avery. I would like to try Vivid plus sometime as well.

Luckily the color I wanted was only made by Avery I dont know a whole lot about wraps but the guy I had do it will not even use certain brands I had my 2015 Chevy z71 silverado wrapped in matte moss metallic green it came out great

If y’all use Avery y’all won’t like nor be able to instal vivvid it’s the worst product out there. I got piano black and it wouldn’t even stick or conform around edges for a simple chrome delete. But it’s so dam thick and tacky it’s pointless.

VIVID ripped me off... ...less than 6 months and it started cracking, and shedding away. I'd like to share some photos of the product failure. I wrapped the roof and hood with VIVID silver carbon-fiber with two wide stripes of VIVID black carbon-fiber. The silver is disintegrating and the black is holding up fine. What was I sold?

Any product can be defective. I'm unsure of when are where you purchased from. I've had similar things happen with all major brands. Side story, I bought a brand new car and it was leaking brake fluid from the first day. The point is that even a $50,000+ product can be defective sometimes.

Hi man Well I'm about to give this Wrapping a go I live in the UK and brought my wrap on Ebay the Price was good it does have a paper backing but a Soft over sheet I had no eider I had to take a over sheet off or that it even had one so thank you for this the thing that Worrys me is it says for interior yes it list covering bonnets ect i Questioned the seller they say wrap over the edges to stop separation any advise re this Please as you seem to really know your stuff and i don't have a Clue Thank you for your time

Makes sense why inozetec will only sell to experienced installers, as it is a Chinese product just like tekwrap, and equals less failure exposed to the product if only experienced insall it, it's really a no brainer ,really well marketed overpriced product that is produced in the same factory as others. I've been trying to wrap my Dodge Van Hood with a 4D CFiber look.. I'm not really able enough to get the wrinkles at the front bottom edge of it clean.. Wihen I did it the very first time, it was accomplish with the use of cutting edges were it wrinkled.. Trying for the second time I used a Heat Gun but only made it worse.. Also, how many is to much when I left-up the wrap at trying to remove hard-wrinckles at curve bottom edges.??.. Thanks in advance...

My big interest as well as quality of film is how well does ot remove after long term install? Will it leave the car looking like it was wrapped silver covered in adhesive, remove paint, or come off decent. I've had a nightmare removal with some super old arlon.

Arlon did have removal issues back in the day. I had a similar experience with Arlon where it ruined the paint

@@termigni I’ve done at least 20 cars in teckwrap and probably around 10 in inozetek now, and besides them both being vinyl I see zero similarities. They tack different, heat different, look way different in person, one has a heavy static, one comes on a cardboard roll the other a plastic tube, they smell completely different (I know this sounds like a joke but they’re obviously chemically different and not literally rolling off the same assembly line and just getting put in different boxes as this video implies).

I was told that Inozetek is just Performance Wraps' custom-produced vinyl (or one of those other 'big name' wrap companies like Exotic Wraps...pretty sure it was Performance Wraps though; either way, same idea). Both brands of vinyl are straight up garbage either way though...teckwrap is just Chinese brand/calendared film in outrageous colors the only reason Inozetek ever got hype in the first place is bc they got that whole wrap institute channel/community of big 3M certified shops to use it & show it off on social media.....straight up con from day one... ps- *dope* jag brotha, now *that's* what I'm talkin about 😉😎
